i don't think i've even known the people on my road enough to guess whether they are scum since i lived at my parents.
in leeds we had a couple next door who argued really loudly and had small kids you knew could hear so i didn't have a good impression of them.
my neighbours on either side here are quiet and therefore i like them.

i would never wanna live somewhere that i can't walk to a shop in like 5 mins. and need a close train to a city that has gigs in it if those ever exist again.
would be very happy with a spaced out detached house- which my parents have a fucking nice one of despite having been a social worker and a lecturer and not coming from money just cos they were born at the right time when house prices weren't insane.

As I said in the Zopiclone thread, I've always lived in flats with noise from neighbours which has driven me nuts, and now have managed to find a nice quiet flat, apart from the frigging Grandfather clock the old people above me have above my bedroom

Howdy. You may have spotted my note in the booze discussion thread, having posted that article there instead of in here due to possible early onset dementia. Do I actually have dementia. Hopefully not but after over 20 years occasional use with the last 5 or so involving overuse (which started after the PSA came into effect in 2016, cutting off my guaranteed supply and leaving me chasing pharms which while solid at present can always evaporate quickly) I need to stop blasting BZD's sooner rather than later as one possible consequence of chronic use is early onset dementia.
Im fed up with how miserable the world seems outside...
(all those cunts managed to bum rush the US Capitol but I am just watching a black State Rep. in Georgia getting arrested and dragged out of the State House for knocking on the chamber door while the Republiklan State Legislator were about to pass laws that are designed to stop as many urban, working class and black and minority ethnic Georgians from ever being able to vote again) but I have enough mood managers to still have pleasant days here and there.
Just in case Fubar happens to read I just want to get this down while I remember - your mention of Mr. F. and animals reminded me - @Fubar - I have spent what is long beyond a weird amount of time watching professional exterminators and other assorted idiots on YouTube killing wasp and hornet hives in the most creative ways. On behalf of everyone who hate those viscious fuckers I just wanted to say thankyou to you and all who protect us from those Godless beasts. Personally, it is beyond hate for me as I am phobic of wasps (I dance around like the old bag in Tom and Jerry if harassed out in the summer ) but while I could not go near one it is very satisfying to listen to the larvae pop while some American Hayseed is flame throwing some nest dracarys style while not seeming to give a rats ass about sending the property up as well.

Haha, middle class my arse. Pictures can be deceptive. This street is one of the shitiest areas of social housing in my town. Plus, my side is all terraced and I've got the fuckin mother in law on one side and the English equivalent of a pikie on the other. We're seriously trying to get a move now.

They are extremely important pollinators (second only to honey bees) and removers of many garden pest insects. I hate having to kill them. They are only a threat in late summer and the worst thing you can do is 'dance around like the old bag in Tom and Jerry'
Its definitely a case that the more you understand a species, the more you respect them.
