First off -- great avatar.

Yo, I fuck with $uicideboy$ and ghostmane, The vibes remind me of old school Triple 6 Mafia type shit. Always looking for recommendations.

I searched this whole damn thread and no one mentioned Griselda. Fucking OG Maco from 2010 was brought up before them lol. These guys are putting Buffalo on the map. And they have Alchemist making beats for them!? Holy

Well, I don't know what you consider old school Triple Six, but for me (I'm a big fan), I think of like 1995 Mystic Stylez era, Tommy Wright III type shit:

Glad you like Griselda. They are a throwback to Wu Tang era posse cuts imo, 90s NY grimey shit. I feel like they've only really come up in the last year or so, can't knock you for never hearing of them.

Wow... now that you mention it, yeah I can definitely see the resemblance now, Weird. Big time.

I couldn't see it before.

I really don't like ghostmane/$boyz. I mean a few songs I can dig, but generally not. They're just a little too much like a screamo genre of rap for my taste.

I was probably just being biased.

Yeah, I can only vibe with a few of their songs for same reasons.

Hell yeah! I've been on a big 90s Memphis rap kick as of late. Those cats definitely never got their due. I mean, the South was generally disrespected as a whole by the rap community in the 90s but Memphis was behind both ATL and TX on the pecking order. Yet trap music as it exists today would have never happened if it wasn't for the likes of DJ Paul, Tommy Wright III, DJ Zirk. This song came out in 1993, way before the words horrorcore or trap were ever said. This song is to Memphis what Drag Rap was to NOLA:

It's been a minute since I listened to Three6, but I took a trip down memory lane after your post. Holy shit, they indeed deserve more cred than they've been given.
I'd never heard DJ Zirk before - again, holy shit. Good, gritty stuff. I've heard DJ Paul, but I'm definately gonna check the rest out.
Few feelings beat the euphoria of hearing a new tune or group and feel your whole body reverberate like a never-ending moneyshot.

Thanks alot man, this is golden!
