Hi everyone,

I've just posted my first study on bluelight here and I thought I'd introduce myself...

My name is Cami, I'm 31, non binary and I really like drugs.

My academic background is in pharmacy. I studied in Paris for 9 years to get my doctorate (normally takes 6 years but I like to take my time...). At the end of my course I wrote a dissertation on the use of psychedelics for depression. As I was writing it I realised I could do that AS A JOB, so I did a masters in psychology in London in 2018. I decided to do my MSc project on the impact of nitrous oxide on time perception. There is no greater joy than giving medical NOS to people and watching them try to do a computer task (turns out they were way too high to do it properly so the results weren't very conclusive 😅). After the masters I applied for a PhD and I got in, so now I'm studying the neurophenomenology of N2O.

I heard about bluelight for the first time a few weeks ago after sharing my survey on reddit.

I feel weird talking about my own drug use as it's a pretty intimate subject. It feels like talking about my sex life!

Anyhoo that's me, hello!

Hi cami. Have you considered that your drug use stems from an autistic obsession? I think we might relate regarding that

There’s lots of info for you in the psychedelic drug sub forum Cami that I think you’ll find interesting. Have a wee nose about in there.

We are glad to have you and again, I hope the survey does well.

Welcome to bluelight, don’t be afraid to take part in other parts of the site too!

Thanks for the laugh. :)

Oddly I'm very open about it, too much actually. Probably because I've been labeled like that since I was 14.

Welcome! It's good to have you.

Talk away, please. Be open. We’re so many fish in the sea, and on another side, it’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

it is wrong, IMO, that people feel stigma pressure, embarrassment and shame
about talking about their drug use.

So I guess I should lead by example...because normally I’m sure I would add more but at midnight Saturday, I spontaneously took exactly 1000 micrograms of pharma grade pure lsd, at 6 am I plugged another 400 ug, which is an incredibly intense way to take it.

final redose Sunday 1 pm 200 ug oral, 1600 total.

I vaporised lots of weed, ate two big homemade cannabis edible doses, drank kava.

I have still been tripping all day today. But feeling surprisingly positive mooded though.

anyway, I only share that simply because it happens to be exactly true to the details and just to set an example of being more free and open about these things I believe we should have no shame or fear about.

And of course I wish you a very warm welcome to this forum I hope you will really enjoy interacting here and engaging and learning.
