So I'm getting ready to order a kilo of poppy pods tonight from a reliable vendor. They have Grade A poppy pods and some other pods called "Tazzies"??.

Are they more potent? I'm just nervous because I've heard of the dreaded Norman poppys. But I've also heard there is a really alkaloid rich poppy called tazzie as well. Anybody have any insight?

Tasmanian poppy. They are a valid papaver somniferum. They work. Its hard to say whether they were better than say persian whites or hens and chicks etc. They arent like norman poppies. Should be fine if its from a vendor that sells p. somniferum.

Ok cool. Are the worth paying extra for? Like potency wise

I don't know. There is natural variabilityi. Are you making tea?

I should note that all tasmanian poppies I had were strong morphine dominant pods. That said there are high thebaine content poppies grown in Tasmania so who knows.
