I've seen videos of people opening tests up and not swabbing themselves, dipping it in the fluid that comes in the test tube, sending it away and it coming back positive

Also the number of positive results has gone RIGHT up in UK, but the number of people admitted and deaths haven't

People are calling bs
 
could you link some of these videos @jhjhsdi? i'm inclined not to believe them. to make such a video you clearly have an agenda, and the people with those agendas have been shown time and again to be scientifically illiterate and outright dishonest.

it isn't evolutionarily beneficial for a virus to kill its host, as that means they can't transmit themselves to as many new hosts, so it is natural for viruses to become less deadly over time. even if you are taking the lag between positive test and serious symptoms into account- without seeing the source for your figures its impossible to say- re the reduced number of hospitalisations it does not imply that test results are being faked. there has been a huge amount of effort put into treatment, and corresponding progress has been made.

i'm a minute in and its so poorly shot that its impossible to tell whats going on. the swap shouldn't be leaving the shot.

i know it is hard to tell who to trust, disinformation is fucking deadly. there's no reason why you should trust me, but equally you shouldn't trust that lad. i have worked in science, including biomedical sciences, in fact i have friends who have worked at/been seconded to covid test centres to do the lab work. no fishy stuff going on according to them.

i don't know how you resolve the disconnect between the general population and scientists because science is so technical these days, and methods so precise and detailed, that its literally impossible to communicate to people who don't work in a very related area. like honestly i have worked in biosciences for 5 years but analysing data and even i don't understand most of the work that was going on in my own lab. the only thing i can say, is that one side, the science side, can provide evidence for their claims no matter how hard you push, and will admit where they don't have answers or previous understanding was wrong, the other side won't stand up to much scrutiny and usually you can see that they will gain personally by making such claims. most scientists are actively losing out to pursue their work, working for shit pay, long hours, insecurity.

Trusting no-one is probably wise. :D

However, the BBC news, the UK government and even Chinup have a damn sight more evidence to work with than that prick in the video.

All i was getting at is that loginnotsecure should maybe not 100% trust the tests that said they were not positive, as im sure if they have been swapping saliva with someone who is, they probably are.
Or they have amaizng natural vaccine/immunity, and should be studied lol

Exactly. Agendas are at foot, and they aren't at all aimed at tackling the none existent " crisis", or the very least, hugely equivocated and exaggerated way out of true proortion, one.
