Stimulants Can meth metabolize into amphetamines on a drug test?

I failed a drug test at my clinic a few weeks back after using meth, however the only the I failed for was amphetamines. She asked if I took adderall and I just said yes, surprised.

Does this make sense? It’s definitely not just amphetamines I mean it’s clear crystals, looks just like meth...

Depends on test but yes you will fail a drug test for amphetamines after using meth.

Meth is metabolized into amphetamine in vivo.

I knew I was going to fail honestly I just thought it would be for meth. I didn’t care though all my tests have been clean so I knew it wouldn’t matter to my therapist

it’s a vial sent off to a lab, I’m sure they test for a ton of substances, I was just surprised meth didn’t pop up

Some tests are able to distinguish between methamphetamine and amphetamine - like the one’s used by NSW police. Others give a positive for amphetamine when you really took Methamphetamine (which gives you an out if you are on ADHD meds).
