THE 5 SIMPLE GOLDEN RULES OF SHOOTING RIGHT.
#1: Make sure to test your solution's ph with a pH strip, it costs 5 bucks in a pharmacy. It shouldn't ne below 6 and not above 8.
#2: Before getting started with shooting : Always registre about .1 ml blood into a solution containing your product, remove the needle and observe how your blood reacts with the solution. You have to make sure that the blood doesn't change in nature; color changes (turning rown/darkening), Stolling (parts of "hard bits", filaments), or it staying on the bottom and looking "heavy", as if it became more consistent and syzzurpy. If any of these things happen, DO NOT SHOOT. I lost too many a vein due to being spun craving another rush, with products of low quality.
#3: NEVER HEAT YOUR WATER. HCl salts or pure amphétamine should dissolve without heat. If however you're a hardcore Guy like I used to be and want to shoot more than what can be dissolved at room temp, it's a slippery rope. Make sure to spray some on your wrist to check temp, apply rule #2 and inject a very very small amount to make sure it isn't too hot. Don't forget to breath ;)
#4 Alternate shooting spots. When shooting in a vein, never reinject right at the same needle spot, this increases the wound's diameter and thus infection risks. Keep at least .5mm inbetween each injection spot, and if you've been shooting ex.g. your main hand vein, Keep in mind that the blood goes up, so it's better to start down the vein (hand) and move up the arm as you go. **
may not be true

So if you plan on shooting your arm crook, start with your hand.
Keep in mind that shooting stimulants, especially RCs and street coke, are the worst things imaginable for your veins, and in any case you will lose some if you do.

#5: Try to not re-use syringes. They're cheap, easy to get and raison why is the top of the needle becomes like a hook after the first injection, which means the second time you use it it will pull on your flesh upon pulling it out, damaging tissue. And of course, Never share a needle or use the same spoon/cup as Someone else.

PS: If you do feel that the vein is going to collapse, put on a garrot and do push ups/ haltering like crazy. You have to make the blood citculate like crazy if you want to have a chance of saving it.

#0: Always use insulin syringes, and don't go lower than 27G size needles.

These are the golden rules of IVing.

Excellent rules! May I add: use citric or ascorbic acid to create the neutralization reaction for bases like crack cocaine, cocaine base, heroin #3 and, depending upon pH, black tar heroin to bring them to a neutral pH salt. Vinegar is better than lemon juice, by not by much, and both are dangerous not only for bacteria and blood infections/endocarditis, but they will almost certainly break rule #1 stated above.

Thank you, I hope it will help noobies keep their veins a little longer. Shouln't this be stickied??

Great. Injecting too fast, too often, pulling out too fast & soon after injecting and damaging the valves in your veins by putting a needle through them are a few other things which causes collapsed veins. Another point is that injection must be towards the heart (the same direction with blood flow).
Please be extremely careful and think well before using neck or groin which can be done but are much more risky than ither locations. If one doesn't know what they are doing or careless, it could cost a leg or become fatal much easier. Try not using feet and lower legs either because if low circulation and high count of bacteria.

This is my biggest problem tbh. This and being impatient, as Ket HCL takes a good few minutes to dissolve in cold water.

Good write up. Never thought of checking how the blood reacts in the rig. Too busy craving that hit lol.
It should at least be added in near the top of the IV Megathread sticky, if it isnt stickied itself.

Gaffy can you elaborate or explain on Step 2? I think at times I have pulled back and seen the blood get stringy / clot almost instantly? I just did a shot and accidentally pulled back like a whole cc (using 3 ml syringes) a whole ml of blood, then had to enter another vein a few minutes later.. is it bad to have blood out of the body for a few minutes? I’ve been shooting my liquid methadone for almost a month straight and it seems that I’m OK mostly despite the added sweeteners and artificial ingredients. Maybe the cotton gets most of it out.

It's very simple. In a non-hazardeous solution like distllled water and a well gassed product, blood shouldn't change in nature. Your welcome! You may want to go underweb terrain tofind some brtter than usual street qlty. Also give some goos amphetamine paste a go!! ;)

Actually as far as I know blood clots naturally when exposed to air, this can take only a few minutes. So that doesn't really tell you much, unless it's something quite extreme.

Injecting very concentrated solutions may be one of the worst things too, that will really fuck your veins. If you want to save your veins one of the most important things is to balance out the osmolality of your solution.

I usually add half water to the methadone cause it is pretty viscous and try to make it much more water like

@Gaffy have you or anyone else got any advice to hitting your own basilic vein aka bloodbank
All I've heard is tie off at the armpit, twist your arm, go in under your bicep. On vein maps it looks massive.
I havent tried tieing off and having a feel around yet. But i definitely will be trying. Be lovely to be able to hit up in that area again. I miss my cephalic (bicep) veins so much. Such a quick hit when going in them.
I'd love to find my basilic, i promise id treat her good, no hot shots, no super concentrated shots, no abuse!

Try railing again, it's really fun! Hotrailing (with a mask) gives you the possibility to smoke much and much mode product

You cant smoke ket. Wish you could. Id be all over the hotrails.

Damn .. and why not 3-MeO-PCP or PCE a try? They can and it's a pleasure. Such that I wanted to feel dissociation again and so arranged with my doc for him to get me some yesterday and have been rrobotripoing since haha

Unless the syringe is a vacuum void of air (it isn’t), then depending upon your prothrombin time would start the process of coagulation. Beyond that, the non-sterile solution is full of bacteria and other unknown substances which will interact with the blood differently.

It passes through brachial fascia usually in the upper third of the upper arm, and becomes a deep vein, and trying to find it without ultrasound would come with all the risks of any other deep vein as it runs next to the brachial artery and ulnar nerve bundle.

Not only can i not get them without using the darknet which i havent used for years, despite really wanting to try them both especially 3meoPCP (wanted to try for yearssss) i reallllllly don't trust myself. My disso tolerance is so high and my likelihood of overshooting the mark blacking out and compulsively redosing is well over 100% lol

And those risks would be? If i could locate it without an ultrasound are there any specific risks i should be aware of, especially seeing as most of my other superficial veins in the arm ill be using are collapsed. (i highly doubt id find it on my left due to tattoo but i will still try)

The brachial artery supplies every artery in that extremity with oxygenated blood (think: the upper extremities’ equivalent of the lower extremities’ femoral artery), so accidental intra-arterial injection would result in emboli hitting every capillary in that extremity. Hitting the ulnar nerve, not only would it be instantly painful, but damage or pressure against it could result in pins and needles, burning sensations and up to long-term complete loss of feeling into the ring and pinky fingers until either it becomes uncompressed or it can heal itself (it wouldn’t be a fast process, depending upon how bad you hit it)

If you have a lot of muscle and/or extremely low body fat percentage, some people can visually see the basilic vein above the antecubital crease and before it transitions from the deep subcutaneous tissue to the deep fascia in the upper third of the upper arm, but keep in mind where it cuts through the fascia can vary from person to person and sometimes it goes under the fascia immediately after it merges with the median cubital vein (the vein almost everyone starts with).

Most people need to stick the needle in blind at 90 degree angles and pray they hit the vein and not the artery or nerve, somewhat similar to techniques used to IV into femoral vein, except with the femoral vein the situation is different and there are methods to palpate the femoral arterial pulse (but it’s even more risky there for a multitude for other reasons.)

@Deru thank you pal, your knowledge is immense and impressive.
I will only try it if i can tie of and definitely see/feel it, I'm not going to go digging around under my bicep hoping to find it like some others IRL have suggested

I have to disagree, the amount of water used for injection (~1-2ml) cools off very rapidly so injecting too hot solution is not going to be an issue. Even if the solution was too hot, it would be cooled off by blood without any problem due to the low amount.
All the H junkies I've been around always heated their cooker.
I firmly believe this is what kept me from getting infections in the years of IV abuse.

I've also read somewhere that heating destroys heroin, this I never personally noticed.
Also read somewhere that heating the solution doesn't destroy bacteria, also have to disagree, because boiling even for a brief time will destroy majority of bacteria.

Maybe I'm wrong in that the reasonable sounding purpose to not heat the solution such as stuff that normally wouldn't dissolve now get dissolved -- I strongly believe that sterilizing the solution that most likely is not prepared in sterile environment and comes from who knows where outweighs that benefit.

@Morfiend1 i use at least 2ml sometimes 3 and if I'm inside a house/bathroom and ive made a really concentrated shot and had to proper boil it to get it clear, i just recap the needle and run the barrel under the cold tap quickly (making sure none of the tap water touches or spreads to the needles end) and dry it on tissue after. You can wipe with alcohol swab after but it may take the measurements off the outside of the barrel lol.
If outside and not near a tap i just prep shot and try to do something like roll a cig or send a text/check notifications while it cools down a bit, if using a 1ml can dunk it into water bottle, or of course pour some water out slowly over the 2-3ml barrel, or soak some tissue/bit of your sleeve and wrap it around the barrel.
I have LOADS of times just shot hot and you can definitely feel it burning your vein a bit but of course with k it soon numbs the injection site (another reason i re-check im still in every ml i get down the plunger) so after you're 1ml down the other 1-2ml doesnt hurt. It cools down a fair bit just hitting the inside of the barrel.
Another thing you can do if you have room in the barrel is draw up some cold water after drawing up your shot and shake.
