Is it okay for opposite sex cousins to share the same bed?

My parents think otherwise but I'm not sure. I'm 22 and my cousin is 25. She's coming next month from Los Angeles here to Europe for two weeks.

The thing is, she is on the fence on it but obviously my parents have their rules since it's their house.

What I want to know is if it's weird to share a bed? They think it's insane and the only reason I don't see a problem with it is because of my Aspergers. However, I think not. The interesting thing is that they wouldn't have a problem if it's a male cousin.

I'm surprised because I thought in 2019, we'd have gotten rid of this gender issues. It's true that men and women are different but I don't see how that applies to sharing a bed.

Mmmmm.. I can kinda see both perspectives.

Ultimately I think it should be between you and her. If you two are comfortable with it or not.

Is it weird? Yeah maybe a bit. But who cares?

Would I share a bed with one of my male cousins? Ehhh, probably not.

So like, uhh.. Is she hot? 😂😂 JK...

I think in the UK that would be illegal but I wouldn't necessarily say it's WRONG. If you literally just sleep next to each other.

I've shared a bed with girl FRIENDS and nothings happened (and male friends too on a few occasions) just sleep with clothes on and probably best if you don't get drunk together 😂😂😂

And if your parents are that worried I'm sure they can afford a cheap air bed or camping bed or put one of you on the sofa or on cushions on the floor... Lots of options

I shared a bed with my dad during vacation.

I've slept next to girl friends (not dating) often in high school and college as friends.

Not weird, IMO.

But depends on context. If either of you made moves on the other it could get frisky.

Like 1 night if there is no other option is okay, maybe a couple of days, but when it's two weeks of you two sleeping in the same bed then it would be a little weird for sure. Going to sleep at the same time, waking up together... yeah hahah that's too much
I get both perspectives, but the '2 weeks' is the deciding factor here

Yeah but that's the same sex.

The thing with cousins is that culturally we consider them to be too close to date. But often we haven't grown up with them, so we don't have the inherent aversion towards seeing them as prospective romantic partners that we do with people we grow up with.

Where this gets interesting is when you introduce homosexuality into it.

What if it's two male cousins? What if they're gay? Or what if only ones gay?

@JessFR - Yes that one part of my post is not exactly answering the question.

What if they're gay? Same thing - as i said,

Not weird, IMO.

Yes but gender and sexuality is hardly on the table here I think.
It's the 'two weeks' that is by far the most complicating factor, you'd have to be very comfortable with that person around, especially if the original intent was on visiting, so you'll be seeing a lot of each other already.

I don't know, just my opinion, the context is much more deciding than the original question, to which I'd answer that it's certainly fine. But look at all the context and add the parent's perspective onto that... very different.
I'd love some more context to really be able to have a reasonable debate about this is, how attractive she objectively is and how well you know each other for example.

Let me ask you this. Do you have any thoughts or intentions of fucking her? If so, yes. It is a great idea.

I have some hot cousins, and have kissed two of them (one was my first kiss and the other was a few years ago).

Personally, I do not find anything wrong with it.

I had no idea we had so many people on bluelight interested in fucking their cousins. :p

Personally I don't even like my cousins.

If your parents are that bothered about the same sex thing, why can't u bunk up with ya dad and she shares with ya mum?
*beavis&butthead voice again* heh heh

Why not?
