Coronavirus lockdown

Instead of sleeping in parking lots, at least now we see them.
lol true that but they are really abusing there power. 2 weeks ago they killed a guy for drinking on his own property (which is allowed) and a week ago arrested and beated a young kid into the hospital in the holding cells after being caught with alcohol too. So them being visible is cool and such just dont like what they doing. But this is my messed up country for you

Looking into my crystal ball right now...🔮👀

i see the governments of the world pretty soon saying that mosquitos can spread the coronavirus. Thatll be our que to freak out and go buy every can of Off at the store. When the stores run out, they'll just tell us to stay indoors to be safe.

I know a lot of sparkies and people in other trades that are self employed. They’ve gone from £500 a day to £94 a week, the help for self employed is laughable. As is the fact people on the dole getting an extra £20!
I know it's not the point, but at £5-10,000 a month (assuming they work full time) they should have at least some savings, putting them in a slightly better position than most. I also know a few trades men who are currently without work, and are apparently now going to get 80% of their average earnings over the past however many months.
The thing that really gets to me is that most of them evaded/avoided a shit load of tax, declaring less than half of their earnings. I'm not saying all self employed people fiddle the books, but you can't deny that some (a lot?) of them do, yet still take full advantage of the system they're reluctant to pay into. The same goes for anyone avoiding or evading tax, I assume they're part of the reason income tax is so ridiculously high.
I've got a good degree in a useful subject, yet still struggle to find a job that pays over £20,000 a year (25k if you're really lucky). And then earning under 2k a month, you lose a quarter of it before you even see it. Fucks me right off that after 6 years of grad/post-grad study, and over 24 months experience, (not to mention the £60,000 ish it cost) I'm still worth fuck all to the industry. Rant over, can you tell I've had limited conversation for weeks now

Of course they fiddle the books, but they (the ones I know personally) also live pretty extravagantly. Everything is flashy but still live on a shitty estate in a council house, but have a new Range and a beamer on the drive. If anything I'm hoping it's taught them a lesson that maybe it's not a bad idea to put a few quid away for a rainy day..

On the other hand kaosisallwesee, never too late to learn a trade!

^ Aye, the only reason they're earning 500 quid a day is because they're ripping people off! Bunch of fat, hairy arsed tea drinking bullshitting cunts.

I'm sick of having to rectify the shoddy work that so called 'tradesmen' have done in my house. I no longer report problems to the landlord, I sort them myself.

this is something I never really get. The plumber who lives down the street from me who I've used once or twice and asks for cash in hand so I'm sure he declares it (yeah right!) and yet he has a big Mercedes with a personalised number plate in his driveway. I can't think of anything more useless and wasteful than paying for a personalised numberplate

My parents, who have always worked hard, never earned much and lived pretty frugally don't give the slightest shit what type of car they have parked in their drive (a crummy Fiat), or what other people think of the quality of their personal possessions. Just a different value system from an older generation I guess

That was actually the plan  But this virus has fucked it for the time being. I was due to start at my dads company around a week ago, learning carpentry/joinery via exhibition stand fabrication, but all exhibitions across Europe are postponed until next year meaning he has no work and I have no job... So it's back to poor paying lab work, and universal credit until then :(
In regards to the flash cunts in council houses, the area of Leicester I lived in during uni was full of those types. There was a guy a few roads over on the estate that had a fucking Bentley! But lived in an ex-council house on a shitty estate. We always assumed it's because you can't drive your house about the city showing off. Dickheads!

Brazil is continental, our hearts are continental as well as our asses and tits so that, my friends, we are going to open our continental country, in the name of our sacred economy, exactly on the rising part of the curve. We are doing that because we have faith, you know, GOD IS FROM BRAZIL, this is a commonplace over here.

I don't know why people go to Monaco, Cannes, etc, rocky beaches, cold water, only idiots showing off their asses. On the other hand, there is Rio de Janeiro, do a tour in a favela, take a picture with a real dealer armed with heavy guns. In addition, we have sandy beaches and hot water (suck this). One can even have the incredible experience of having your Iphone robbed by 8 years old kid but this is past now, this world does not exist anymore, there is corona, and we are going to unlock our country in the name of the stocks. I am willing to sacrifice myself, btw.

I will throw a party with cocaine, whisky, women, shemales, monkeys, wild birds, and all the sort of native species that circle my place protecting my plantations. Going to allow sexual intercourse between species (if consensual).

*playing bossa nova

Social distancing measures are expected to remain in force all year apparently. Lockdown will be eased gradually within a few weeks or months though.
There goes sweaty hugs, kisses and pats on the back at parties, raves and festivals 😠

Often high earners are also high spenders

Sounds like a plan! But keep the animals out (even if consensual...), we don't want another species-jumping virus... do we?

let's make some goddamn noise
It's not quite the same! Funnily enough I'm not very touchy feeling when sober, but I love physical contact when I'm high. Not being groped, obviously, but those nice friendly rave hugs and kisses with everyone, oh yeah. Oh, and sharing things - bottles of water, spliffs, etc.
Strange to think that now all this would be just... wrong. Forbidden. Even pubs are banned now, or hanging out with friends, or house parties. Weird

ah those where the days. Back then you could still smoke in bars and clubs, so I'm showing my age. Now I smell my neighbour smoking and it annoys me....

cops were patrolling the park again today. Funny how prior to the lockdown they were nowhere to be seen, but now a few sunbathers and it's...

Without mentioning specific companies, I studied pharmaceutical and cosmetic sciences, focusing on formulation and chemistry during my masters/post-grad study. Started out working in a haematology lab, then in pharmaceutical formulation. I think the market is just over saturated with science graduates. Initially I wanted to go into research, hence the masters, but PhD funding is hard to secure and the work for pre-doctorate research is limited and irregular. I became a father myself 8 months ago, and if I'm honest can't afford life in my current/most recent role. I'm sure many more can relate, but for the amount of work it took to get here, it doesn't seem worth it in the slightest.

Get into computers mate. I make more than that without a degree in anything. You can get some certifications and get a job in IT. Much money to be made. If you manage to work your way right to the tippy top there's people making over £200k.

Cousin of mine lives in proper shitty flat with his parents but has a Merc. Even worse he slapped a fake AMG badge on it. I don't get it either.

I am into cars myself but it's like priorities. Get a place to live before you buy a flashy car ffs. And anyone who sticks a fake AMG or M badge on their car is a fuckwit.
