Didn't you recover like 3 months go?
I just wanted to ask you how many shots and how many months are you off? I’m 3 months off no improvements I’m sitting in bed right now trying to figure out how to get myself started for today. I hope I can tell a difference in 3 more months. July will be 6 months for me. My family still doesn’t believe me, but I’m hoping to stay away from doctors right now. My family said if I keep complaining they will send me to long term care, so I can only complain to you here on the thread.

How can they not believe you? One shot Is like 30-50 doses at once, that shit stays in your system for so long. I've taken 2mg of risperidone in the past AND can't imagine feeling like that for months on END. Id kill myself forreal, i send u all strenght to beat this shitty poison

Does anyone know the benefits of taking cabergoloine? I’m about to start the prescription tomorrow and want to know if it can help me in anyway. Please let me know the benefits of the medication.
I had blood test done and my doctor says my prolactin levels are good, so what is causing my low sex drive? I’m curious at this point. Can anyone help me. I don’t want to lose a boyfriend over this but I’m seeing that this is a losing battle at this point. Help

I’m like my family. I wouldn’t believe a shot can do this much damage
They don’t even know their on daughter. So sad that my life is over. I just hope to make it to live medication free life again. It’s heavy in my body for sure. I just hope I make it to see myself recover.

Sure it's heavy on ur body. But dont forget the human body Is an amazing resilient machine, it repairs itself until it reaches its ultimate balance(homeostasis). So ur life isn't over, sure ur suffering alot but it Will pass. I feel like shit too from opiate withdrawal, it's Been 20 days AND i still dont feel normal but eventually I'll get where i need to be. You Will heal aswell

Today I’m 3 months off Invega fucking Sustenna. Things are getting better. I think I’m more clearheaded, I accept this situation more and more for example when my muscles are twitching ( not as often as before) I’m thinking that this was waay worse when I was on the shots and they will stop soon at their time. Energy, motivation, sleep ( I can’t fall asleep early like I sleep always after midnight, 3-4a.m, and wake up at 12-1pm) are not where they need to be but I know that with time they will improve too..maybe anhedonia is not as strong like before. I will be very grateful to have a 6 month recovery after 3 shots.

Improvements on the negative symptoms (anhedonia, melancholia, lack of affect, numbed, etc.) takes a good six months, or even up to a year.

It's a month today since my last shot and I'm feeling relieved that I'm not due for another one, but I also feel like I'm in for a gruelling 6-7 months until I start feeling improvements (8 months is when I started noticing changes the last time I was on invega). I'm still feeling extreme anhedonia, lack of drive, energy and motivation. It's hard because I have been feeling this way for the past year or so, I kinda feel like any longer is just too much. The hardest part is having no control over the progress of your recovery, just waiting for things to improve but feeling so powerless to change anything about it.

I have been taking the injections since October 2018. Somewhat recently, I've been transferred to Invega Trinza, took 2 or 3 injections of it so far. I have asked my psychiatrist to take me off the medication and give me an oral medication instead, as I have increased prolactin levels which has caused me to lactate, I have anhedonia and virtually no sex drive. I have also gained quite a bit of weight because of it and I feel much stupider. He wanted to put me on Abilify in addition to the Invega. I refused.

I believe I have been misdiagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. I just had a drug induced psychosis due to the consumption of LSD. I believe I do not need the injection as I don't plan on taking anymore drugs in the future.

My question is this: how did you all quit Invega? Was your psychiatrist okay with taking you off of it? Do I need to switch psychiatrists? I was planning on not showing up to my next injection, but then I fear of a court ordered injection and police showing up at my house.

Thanks

Oh boy you got Invega Trinza..that’s a hard one..the psychiatrist don’t want to see you off meds because this is what they do, they give pills, shots to people and think even if somebody of us had a drug induced psychosis need to take them for a looong time and that’s not true in my opinion...they said to me in hospital that I need to take antipsychotic pills for 1 year. After 4 months of Olanzapine and Risperidone, and 3 shots I refused completely all kind of medicine. My body said no more, this ‘ treatment ‘ is not for you big boy. I think you can refuse to take them, and since you got Trinza it will tapper off without reducing the dose or something like that . And also I think if you had a drug induced psychosis the meds are necessary for a few months not f***ing years. I’m not a doctor, I don’t have much studies on this but it’s just my opinion. Cheers

You will make it! We are going to recover!
I’m glad you feel that way. I don’t feel like I will recover. Everyday nothing has changed at all. I’m 3 months off to and I don’t see any improvements. I just don’t see the light. I’m scared it will take kore than a year. I just was hoping to see changes in my mood or energy at this time and I haven’t. Sorry to be a downer it’s me being honest with everyone looking for improvements

Every thing you are experiencing we are to. You’re not alone. Don’t go back to your appointment. Stay away from the injections you will regret getting kore. Save yourself now. It’s going to be along road ahead. It sucks but we are here in the same boat. Listen to us don’t go back. Run away far far away. Your soul has been taken there is nothing else they can do but hurt you more.

That poison Is still running Through your veins

Does it really all come back? I mean I think so since any other medication when it wears off you should come back to your normal self. I’m hoping a 6 month recovery. If that’s the case I would be happy waiting but I don’t know if that’s possible. I hope so.

I wish I had my sex drive back at least. It sucks not being able to show love to anyone.
My boyfriend which I call a friend now doesn’t understand what I’m going threw. I’m pretty sure he won’t last with me. If he does I’ll be surprised. I gave everyone a year for me to get better. Now I’m 3 months and nothing has changed. I’m really worried I’m hoping for 6 month recovery. July will be month 6. If I don’t see any improvements by then. I will be really scared. I need someone to give me success stories. I need a couple right now.

So you didn’t take invega injections? I don’t understand you. Are you on invega? Or you took opiates instead. I don’t know your story.

I need someone to talk to. I’m really at a bad place now. I’m tired of waking up this way everyday.
I wish Katrina or steph would update the success stories. I think they both had kids and I wanted to know how they were able to survive with taking care of their children.
Anyone heard from either one of them.
I mean we need a story so we can have hope. They won’t come back on this site anymore. How can they forget the medicine and what it did to them. I’m mentally messed up right now. I lose hope.

Those depot injections are meant to last a while in your body. Youll eventually get back to normal dont get scared. Everyone Is different, it depends a Lot on your own chemistry AND a Lot of other factors. For example I'm a fast metabolizer of drugs, i remember when i Would take ecstasy at parties i could feel it coming up 30-40mins before my gf at the Time. Youre gonna heal, one day at a Time.
