Megathread The Netflix Mega-thread vs Netflix Originals Suck

They’re taking off the Ken Burns documentaries on Netflix at the end of February. If you wanna get your American history on, now is the time. The Prohibition one is particularly succinct and interesting.

I dont think so. In the earlier episodes they showed the "man without a face" watching the cops. I believe its about a devil or the murders are done by many people.

The Roosevelt's was my favorite. In my opinion Franklin is one of the most interesting and amazing people in history. What he went through and came back from to lead America during one of its most difficult times is truly inspirational.

It's definitely something demonic going on. I don't know if it's multiple people or one person/spirit who can take on the same exact form of someone else. We know there was something that looked precisely like the Little League Coach and killed that lil' boy. Even had his same DNA! The actual coach was in another state when the murder happened so he couldn't have been in two places at once.

Have you seen episode 3? I'm not really giving anything away here, but a private investigator is brought into the case named Holly Gibney. She seems to have a lot of experience dealing with the spiritual world and possesses certain gifts.

She says to Detective Ralph "Looks like we have a doppelgänger on our hands."

She starts going into the myths of doppelgängers...

Det. Ralph says "I have no tolerance for the unexplainable."

She gives him this intense stare and responds "Well then, you have no tolerance for me."

I love that scene. Haha So it's absolutely something that can look exactly like another person, but a lot is still left open to interpretation until more is revealed. What I love so far is this Detective is going to have to open his mind to the spiritual realm in order to solve this case and not just be so close-minded.

Many have ethics that aren't always bound necessarily to religious thought and it's difficult to handle someone saying their brand of approach to ethics supersedes others, tis all. We all (well most) have an innate sense of conscience - no matter what is posted on here; albeit sometimes compromised and sometimes people need a release from it, also, as it can weigh heavy, in a really messed up economic/politically driven society with skewed propaganda that parasites off of this.

*Edit 'Jeebus' with 'random research chemical' and 'demon' with 'restrictive policies' and everyone will be ur frand - also, pro tip, 'boobs and thread with code word for supply'. Also, add another alt to save you from the alt that you can't keep up with ;) <3

Check out Jordan Peele’s new series on Amazon called ‘Hunters’ with Al Pacino. Pacino puts together a crew that takes revenge on Nazis who worked the camps and are now living in America starting a new life. I’m loving it so far. When they torture and kill those Nazi fucks, it brings me joy.

That pharmacist, Dan Schneider, did more than the FBI and DEA combined to shut down that pill mill. They should be ashamed! They let that corrupt “doctor” Cleggett run that pill mill forever and kill up all those people by prescribing insane doses of OxyContin, Soma and Xanax! Known as “The Holy Trinity”. She acted like she was totally in the right and was helping people. She looked high as a kite during the interview. That car accident she got into was karma.

Purdue Pharma has a lot of blood on their hands, bunch of lying sociopaths. It was a great documentary, but unfortunately there’s no stopping the bodies from piling up. There’s no way I would do heroin on the street and risk getting fent mixed in. Not worth it at all.
 
Anyone seen 'The Stranger?

I've just finished binge watching it and can thoroughly recommend it. It's basically a whodunit thriller with plenty of plot twists and turns to keep you on the edge until the very end.

My only complaint is that part of the plot involves the use of PCP - which is practically unheard of in the UK, especially among middle class high school kids in Yorkshire...

Yessss! Excellent show! I told my lil’ bro’ to watch it. It’s the shit. I didn’t know PCP isn’t really a thing there.

That series is so well done. Loved it!

It’s based on a novel by Harlan Coben.

Another excellent Harlan Coben series on Netflix is called “Safe”. Definitely check that one out if you haven’t already.
 
Right now I’m watching ‘Love Is Blind’ on Netflix. It’s a dating show where you cannot see the person you are getting to know. That way you can’t be judged on looks. They’re supposed to get married in 4 weeks! They won’t see the person until that day.

I love this premise. It’s very interesting. They put a man in one pod and a woman in a separate pod. They can’t see each other, but they can talk through the wall and get to know one another.

There is a black woman on there named Lauren who is the hottest one out of all the women. On the other side is this sexy ass redhead named Cameron. He’s a chemist I think. They hit it off right away!! They can’t see each other, but they are falling in love and it’s making me so happy. They would be a gorgeous couple. I can’t wait until they see each other in the end. I’m not even into relationships, but this is making my frozen heart come to life. I’m loving this.
