Hi all, I’ve been pretty much an internet hermit most my adult life due to social anxiety and afraid of getting into another relationship with a women due to a bad break up in the late 90s, yes it’s been that long and I’ve relieved my self through porn some times too much. But I feel it can be lonely being solo on the internet, I can’t seem to function without internet and dare Not go out much unless it’s important or shopping during day. I seem to have this fear and yearning to be loved but by the right person but I’m not meeting anybody at the moment because I’m stuck hiding in my room. Loneliness is an epidemic I think and I think a pill could help this in future that makes you more social and want to bond with people, bit like social viagra and it will increase confidence to speak to the ladies or boys whatever your into? I suppose it’s a step up from anti anxiety pills but I thought club drugs like molly or mdma has this similar bonding effect, why not work on a slimline legal version of that for the problem! They are doing it with ketamine for severe depression. But any read this:-

Start looking for the right woman on a online dating site. I'm a homebody and only leave the house to work or buy Weed and Food etc. She has to literally drag me out to parties with friends/ family a couple times a month. Thankfully I met a like minded woman on OkCupid and we have been couch surfing togther for years now. I have a pretty severe mental illness I choose to medicate with Lamictal and Psychedelics. It works for my Bi-Polar and Anxiety and helps me feel happier. Spent 5 years alone before I met my girl who I will be marrying in the VERY near future. She is the love of my life, have you tried places like that or POF?
 
Yea as I read the OP my mind screams “MDMA!” Empathogens are about the only class of drugs that does what you are wanting... That said idk if it’s the type of drug you wanna use to simply become more social.

I too have/had major anxiety which I found was majorly alleviated when I started to correct my diet and began exercising. Not only did it help get me out but improved my confidence around women as well.

I think your right about diet and exercise, I need to do more there. I think a lot of mental health is to do with unhealthy eating and drinking. I’ve go to eat more sun based foods like fruit and veg, even celery or water melon is used to attract the females through improving pheromones. Don’t know how true that is though.

I met my girlfriend on Fetlife. Been together for over five years now. Gonna be moving in together soon.

I agree great things can happen on the internet. Avoid the shitshow that is Tinder and look at the more niche communities, that's the way to go.

Yeh, I've heard of it and apparently it's going nowhere. Let's face it, the guy missed his chance while he was too busy being the government's bitch. Trying to make a business out of alcohol analogues is pissing in the wind because the brewers do it so much better...

Pfizer has the alcohol replacement market cornered already with pregabalin it seems.
