I know the beat of club /dance music can be really powerful whilst on mdma but has anyone enjoyed their favourite music - no matter what the genre just as much naturally at times without taking anything? Would be grateful of help as writing a book at the moment.... Thank you Jolan

No, because it almost feels mystical. The music and MDMA have synergy with each other and that influx of serotonin is responsible for the enhanced perception of the music. So no I have never heard music in the same way while sober as when I'm on MDMA. To me, it just isn't possible

No actually, a few songs that I thought would be awesome with a roll simply failed to deliver and lots of songs that I considered mediocre are now my favorites after listening to them while on mdma. The drug is known to change people's taste in music. Plenty of people who don't care for techno are having the time of their lives with molly's help. For me it wasn't just with music but an anime that I hated a week prior to the roll is now my favorite ever and I cant get enough of it.

Some genres have alot more soul and substance to roll to. MDMA + cannabis and alot of alochol will had me many times on whole other level compared to most people in the club. Deep house, techno, future house are what i like most on mdma.

When high on MDMA or stimmy psychedelics (NBOMEs, LSD, AL-LAD, 2C-Xs, DOXs, aMT), Frenchcore and Uptempo Hardcore are divine for me, And Hardtechno Schranz is pretty cool as well, while I do listen to this music while sober as well and it gives me pleasurable excitement, the drugs just take it to a much higher level.

I also love the more extreme side of Metal and I just don't enjoy it so much while on any drug, only sober or maybe while on a very small amount of speed.

I do also listen to some Hardcore/Horrorcore Rap and I only like it sober, although it has some value while using moderate amounts of Ketamine as well.

I’ve had moments of pure unadulterated bliss without any drugs and music, but I don’t think I would have ever been able to get there if I hadn’t first “trained” my mind with past psychedelic and empathogenic experiences.

For me music and MDMA can sometimes be hit or miss, I’ve heard people say you’ll like any shit music when your rolling but I’ve found the opposite to be true. Certain genres I don’t like become grating to my ears real quick. I also often rate my current level of enjoyment with music these days based on how well I can dance or flow to it, which I think is unfair but that’s just how I am after all the years going to rave like events.

absolutely, listen to some Aphex Twin - selected ambient works vol1 or some Jean Michel Jarre (Oxygene & Equinox) whilst on E's and felt like I was in space or another world

also some dramatic/emotiional/scary film soundtracks used to give me rushes up my spine and neck and sometimes bring a tear to my eye, but I suppose thats what e does to you!! makes you appreciate everything around you so much with passion and love and understanding, fancy a hug ? or can i rub vicks on your neck ?

I'm one of those dickheads who listens to gabber during a 7g mushroom trip so I'm not sure you want my thoughts on the matter.

Yeah, that's a weird one. Music I hate sober is just that much more shit when I'm high.

I have experienced genuine auditory hallucinations in a state of sleep paralysis between consciousness and unconsciousness after MDMA consumption years back where I was unable to move but fully conscious and I could hear a certain song being played it was literally being played by my own brain's own recorder.

I had that unsettling experience numerous times after fairly heavy binging.

But what I learnt from that is that that we can basically play these songs to ourselves if only we knew how to. And we could make them much better than any stereo setup as well.

It's not so passive as we think these type of experiences and symptoms and phenomena we are just a long way off off mastering it for our own good. God when I think what we are actually capable of we have barely started to scratch the surface really on this dumbed down planet Earth.

But to answer the question at hand yes music CAN be scintillatingly amazing on MDMA. It could be your regular favorite song, album, artist etc.

Or literally anything. But it certainly isn't the case that music is automatically amazing and enjoyable just because you have taken MDMA, like all types of music and every time.

I think always a huge part of it is your mindset and mood and the environment if the environment is positively conducive towards the enjoyment of music that will make the experience incredible and it really can be.

I found 3-fpm and synthetic cannabinoids to be a fantastic combo for this effect. I would hear entire albums while flying through fractal landscapes..

Exactly. There is so much to be tapped into, accessed, downloaded (7G bro, it's legit haha.)

But as I am thinking about it now it seems so pathetic and ridiculous the way we depends on all of this external entertainment which barely even fulfills us, like television radio, internet etc.

We have our own hifi, Universal broadband and so much more.

Not to knock the "real" world lol. It can be an alright place.
