I'm going to be what God set me out to be

At our family's church there's a mural of Jesus at one entrance, he's completely white (caucasian), tall, wearing perfectly laundered white robes, freshly shampooed long clean hair freshly trimmed (slightly blown back like there's a breeze), and has a wide smile with perfectly straight teeth and bright white clean Pepsodent smile. I call him 'Cheesy Jesus'.

Haha! I just find it funny that they think Jesus looks like that. I want him with a kinky afro and brown skin just to make all the white people go crazy.

Jesus is love really, there is no color.

I can read ppl very well, just a talent I’ve had since I was a little boy. He really did go to heaven and see and feel the outer darkness which is called hell.

@sonicwhite I'm glad you're happy and found contentment, despite the trials you allude to, or is it because? Thank you for saying you laughed at my irreverent post, and for loving us all.

I really did go thru all the horrible things I’ve been thru.

I just don’t desire any to go through any of it.

Nobody knows what Jesus looked like as the skin tone in the the region has changed and remained highly varied over the years. A common statement is that he was black, which is not necessarily true as most semitic people in Egyptian murals were actually very white. Really doesn't matter anyways but it's much more likely he was a medium to light skin tone as oppossed to an ebony shade but there has been a strong cultural push promoting these kinds of ideas.

People have been mixed together since ancient times, just look at the skin tones represented in the bull jumper murals on Crete. In fact, northern parts of Africa were probably of a much lighter skin tone than they are today because people were spreading out from all over the Mediterranean basin and the 3 most prolific groups immigrating people's were lighter skinned.

Some people are way too wrapped up in the "color" of Jesus. Mostly white people from what I can tell. They act like they will be the only race in Heaven. That's what's disgusting because it is completely opposite of God's love for ALL people, no matter what race you are.

I have an uncle who is fixated on not wanting to worship a "white Jesus", but I kept trying to explain to him that Jesus has no color. The whole "white Jesus" thing is propaganda. Jesus has no color, it's all about love.

I actually have no love for Jesus whatsoever. If he was alive today, he'd be in a psychiatric unit. Going around claiming to be the son of god, performing dodgy magic tricks to gain favour, preying on the superstitious and gullible to further his career. Guy was a twat...

LOL! You are too much. He wasn't like David Blaine going around doing card tricks on the street. He was busy healing the sick.
Jesus still loves you anyway and so do I. ?

P.S. David Blaine is the twat actually.

Well, I can't disagree with you there. David Blaine is definitely a twat. But David Blaine can also 'walk on water'. See where I'm going with this? ;)

crap. i wonder how big the big man upstairs' plan is for me. clearly not too much larger than can be mitigated or reeled in. i think my civic duty is yet to be fulfilled. so there's something to look forward to, really. i think god is a personal notion and my years of nihilism served me well. though, the father is one adaptation i have separated from the son as goes with all other inferences of his holiness, and i believe the heavenly father could apply to maybe more than one deity.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8 : twenty eight)

“My child, I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster. I give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

The Heavenly Father does not apply to more than one deity. That would be worshipping false idols basically.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
