Yes, it made me question my relationships and hookups in the past. Maybe it was a high for me like a drug.
Mashed Potato made me think about that, whatever that guy's name is Rue met up with.
Jules and Rue ended up kissing at the end of the episode, that made me happy. Jules could be a good influence for Rue. She already warned Rue that she doesn't want her fucked up around her. Jules needs to hide her medicine though. Rue took some of her pills before because they were sitting out in the open. They need to be hidden. The temptation to steal drugs will always be there as long as they're visible. That's just the way it is.
I'm kind of wondering what Jules' sexuality even is, and it seems like they are trying purposely to make it hard to tell. I mean obviously she likes guys, but I can't tell if she likes girls too and is bi or...well I guess gay since she was born a man...god that must be tough when talking to transexuals in person getting that stuff right isn't it?
Like, I respect anyone's choice to be trans or whatever, but PURELY PHYSICALLY speaking, even a transexual is still on a basic level the sex that they were born as in so far as their genetic makeup and everything, but I'll call them whatever pronoun they want and treat them with respect and as the gender they have chosen. But if someone is a transexual like Jules who was born a man and transitioned to a girl and wants to be referred to as a girl, but then likes men...meaning that as a guy she would be considered straight.......would you refer to them as gay or straight??
I mean, I'd be SUPER careful around the subject and figure out how they want their sex to be referred to before I call them gay, straight or bi, but am I right in guessing that despite the fact that they were born a man and would otherwise be gay if they like men, that if the trans-woman likes men exclusively then she would probably want people to refer to her as a straight right??
Cause if she's a women and likes men...then she's straight...only IMO I'm not sure...but I wouldn't say that to a transexual.
I guess I believe that trans-people do truly probably exist somewhere in between the sexes and that they are not 100% either sex regardless of what they want to be called. Actually, in many ancient cultures, like I think certain Native American cultures and aboriginal cultures with shamans, people who inhabit the space between sexes are seen as holy and often considered to make great shamans. I guess regardless of trans-surgeries not existing prior to probably the 20th century that being of the opposite gender (not just sexuality) is still something ancient and natural. For example, hermaphrodites, but also just people who generally feel and act the opposite gender and always have, and genetically they probably have differences that go beyond just sexual orientation, like more testosterone or estrogen or whatever. Also I think some people have 2 "Y" chromosomes" or 2 "X" chromosomes but I don't really understand how that stuff works.
Both out of respect for them and for the hormones they usually take which probably have changed them, plus probably having been born with more or less tesosterone or estrogen to make that choice I'd imagine....I will certainly consider a trans-woman not fully a man or a trans-man fully a women....but honestly I personally cannot consider someone transitioning from the opposite sex to be 100% the gender they would prefer based on genetics alone, even though I know they'd find that offensive, I just don't believe it is possible for someone to 100% become the opposite gender.
Shit, I'm getting pretty long winded cause I am SUPER HIGH on an overly large dose of Kratom hahahah.
I hope I haven't offended anyone here if they are trans though and respect all genders and sexual orientations, I've just never met a trans-person in real life so it's hard to know how they'd want you to act.
GETTING BACK TO THE SHOW NOW...Lol...
Jules is obviously a transexual who was born a guy but is now a girl, but obviously that doesn't necessarily have any baring on whether or not she's gay, straight or bi, and TO ME it doesn't seem really like she is physically attracted to Rue, and she is attracted to Nate, so clearly she likes guys, but I can't tell if she likes girls also.
What do you guys think?
You think she's Bi and will end up liking Rue, or do you think it's not going to work out for them?
Likewise, do you guys think Rue is gay, bi or straight?
She mentioned she lost her virginity to a guy and kissed guys but she seemed totally uninterested in them, but then she likes Jules, who obviously was born a man but resembles a woman much more...which would kind of lead me to believe that Rue is at least more attracted to woman then men, and if we assume she's not bi for the sake of argument, I'd guess she's probably gay if she is so attracted to Jules right?
But overall I'm guessing she's bi...I was just trying to wrap my head around the whole thing LOL.
Well....that was a SUPER high post totally influenced by being ridiculously high on Kratom. I intended to only talk about the show and got off into my confusion over transexuals relationship to gender and sex and would probably have offended anyone who is a trans-person reading it, even though I totally respect them and their choices.
