Calm down man. No I'm not trolling. I wasn't suggesting that you would vote for her because she was related to Donald, I was suggesting that she's just as qualified to be President as he was. I'm guessing you voted for him, so if she became the nominee why wouldn't you vote for her?

Trumpism rules the Republican Party...so it follows that if Donald is re-elected, then his daughter becomes the nominee, she will have adopted much of his doctrine. And again, they have basically the same qualifications.

Again, talking past one another. I view the birther episode as being about Obama and his birth certificate = people moved on, it's not in the headlines anymore. I agree Racism topics are here to stay. I'm sorry if you interpreted my words differently.

My bad, I read it as accusatory but you've done well to clarify your point and I see it = if Trump is an idiot unqualified (and assuming I voted for him) why not vote for her. Well, for one, she wouldn't be running against Hillary ;) I say that somewhat jokingly, but there is truth to it as well. ANYONE against Hillary would at least get some consideration from me, even the teenager who f'd up my order at the fast food drive thru.

Side note on "Trumpism rules the Rep Party"... I am still not hearing or seeing anything (good or bad) from the rest of the Rep party, tbh. Trump is his own animal and dominates headlines, occasionally bumped out of the spotlight by the Dems as they shuffle the ranks and throw two dozen candidates on stage for 2020. I have a real hard time defining the Rep Party today in the vacuum where they currently exist. As such, I'm not sure the Rep Party is all on board the Trump train. I don't think they really expected him to take their nomination, but when he did they fell behind him rather than against him (just as the Dems did with Hillary and will with their next candidate). I can imagine them looking at Trump and wondering "wtf did we do?" and feeling like they can't bump him at this point and have to ride out his 8y come what may, taking the conservative gains he can get that aid their position, then try to figure out an identity afterwards. But I digress.

I have no idea what candidates will be put up, by either party, going forward. With that in mind, my future voting would be based on what I know of the candidates and what their platform is based upon (does it align with my beliefs). I'm not loyal to any given party (I've voted both ways over the years), or person. In all things, I try to consider all the options and make the choice I feel is best. I may screw it up, either by not having ALL the relevant info, or by misinterpreting parts of the info I get. But ultimately, I do put the effort into evaluating and making a conscious decision that I think is right.

W0lf, I generally love engaging with you, but this is starting to feel like a 1:1 that's dragging out and I'm not up for it atm. I'll agree conceding one's reality view to MSM is a mistake. Big mistake.

Not yet. A stage with 20+ candidates who are trying to look alike (gain the support) and differentiate themselves (from their peers). What I get for their backgrounds and beliefs is slanted at this point. Let them sort out who they really want to put forth, and I'll listen to what they have to say. I don't need to waste my time with never-ran candidates.

Forget the Russian thing, I've never given much of a fuck about that. I mentioned Mueller because he was an adversary of Trump's who wasn't told to go back to his own country. Why does he save that sort of rhetoric for non-whites? Doesn't that seem racist to you?

I don't think trump is a white supremacist or Nazi, but I think he's biased against non-whites and that is a huge problem for an ethnically diverse country.

And yeah, I wasn't trolling my friend. Just because I said something that offended you doesn't mean i did that on purpose. I just expressed my view, you chose to take offense. ❤

The President is not concerned about skin color. He (rightly) cares about America. Those rabid leftist loonies hate America. Their constant anti-american rhetoric is grotesque and deserving of the harshest condemnation.

George Will is a political commentator worth following, imo. He’s not abrasive, and he has some non-traditional points of view. He’s a”libertarian-styled conservative”.

I agree Trump may well have pushed the line further than it had been, but I'd argue it isn't a one man show. Prior to his even running for election there was such lies and fighting by both parties steadily escalating. He owns the title for 'schoolboy taunts', IMO. The concept of 'obvious lies to be spun out in a constant stream' has been equaled by the left and MSM.

Progress in society can't happen if everyone in that society is required to already believe it's perfect to remain in it. It's bullshit.

I agree - that's the point of freedom, both expression AND the opportunity to make a difference and improve things in the direction you see as being 'better'.

I'd argue, however, that there are a lot who throw out the 'I am leaving if .....' who need to stfu or own their words.
