The 2019 Trump Presidency Thread

Catching up a little more on this from where I sit, I've not read all the tweet(s) from Trump, so maybe there is some part of it that I missed. From what I can find, this is all that was said:

Nowhere in there do I see reference to skin color or race. Trump is an idiot in referencing non-American nationality, especially considering only Omar was born elsewhere. It's stupid, unsurprising, and not racist in my opinion. The idea of 'fix your own house before you criticize others' has a long history of truth to it.

If I have someone move to my town, where we have been able to leave houses unlocked, where kids still walk home from school - if I have someone move there from Chicago and start telling me I need bars on my windows and a home security system, that the kids need to be transported by bus and the school needs bulletproof doors. Guess what I'm going to tell that person - GTFO, and go fix your own damn city before you start telling me what to do with mine. Note, there is no indication of color or race involved. If the person is black, is it now a racist statement? If I'm black, and Chicagoan is white, is it a racist statement or not?

Same happened in Florida where I grew up. Tens of thousands of snowbirds retired from Northern and Midwestern states and then complained Florida wasn't like it was back home. DUH. But then they go about trying to turn it into what they left. SMDH. I better stop here, as I'm about to get bent out of shape on people telling others what they can or should do in their own homes.

= = = = =

Back on point. I don't see racism in Trump's tweets listed above.

I do see an instance of AOC criticizing Pelosi and playing the race card, implying she is racist

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of engaging in "explicit singling out of newly elected women of color" in her attempts to maintain control of the Democratic Party.

In a new interview with The Washington Post, Ocasio-Cortez complained that Pelosi's treatment of a group of freshman congresswomen had become "outright disrespectful."

So is this racist by AOC? Or race baiting? Recall, THIS is the first statements on race in this situation. To which many Dems, and even Trump (in his fumbling way) went to lengths to defend Pelosi from such an accusation.

Now, Trump further fumbles his way along, and rather than letting the Dems eat themselves, he unifies them against him with cries that he is being racist with HIS comments.

Nowhere, in Pelosi or Trumps statements have I seen racism in this instance. AOC sees it and stated as such in Pelosi's words, but nobody else sees it there. Now MSM and Dems are running with it in Trump's words. To my statement earlier - some seek to find offense in everything they hear.

No worries. It's easy to mistake our president for a joke.
Can you give me 20 things that Trump has done that's bad for our country? Maybe you can educate me. Should be easy, if you think he's a joke. This would have to be OBJECTIVE things, not subjective.

How about 546? With links. This list is 9 months old lmao.

LOLs that's cute. MOST of those (from what I read) have NOTHING to do with being bad for the country as a whole. I mean, this is the crap they had on there (down below .... there are TONSSSSS of examples like this, and I mean TONS. A lot of it is subjective too. Give me stuff that he's done that ruined the country as a whole (actual things). Obviously, it cant be that bad, since you had to google things and couldnt name stuff off the top of your head.

"When pressed on his fraught relationship with the intelligence community, Donald Trump ended a Timemagazine interview by saying to the interviewer, “Hey look, in the meantime, I guess, I can’t be doing so badly, because I’m president, and you’re not. You know. Say hello to everybody, OK?”

" Donald Trump tweeted, “Remember when the failing @nytimes apologized to its subscribers, right after the election, because their coverage was so wrong. Now worse!” Published the same month as the above tweet, the Times’s financial report announced the newspaper had just enjoyed its strongest quarter for subscriber growth in the publication’s 126-year history."

"Politico reported a supervisor at the Energy Department’s Climate Office banned the phrases “Climate Change,” “Emissions Reduction,” and “Paris Agreement” from all communications. Instead, workers were told to more frequently reference “jobs” and “infrastructure.” "

"Donald Trump was a vocal proponent of the “birther” myth, claiming Barack Obama was not born in the United States. In 2011, Trump told Bill O’Reilly, “If you are going to be president of the United States you have to be born in this country. "

"In 2011, Donald Trump stoked false claims that Barack Obama had lied about his education. During a speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump said, “Our current president came out of nowhere. Came out of nowhere. In fact, I’ll go a step further: The people that went to school with him, they never saw him, they don’t know who he is. It’s crazy.”"

"Ivanka Trump accompanied her father on his presidential interview with 60 Minutes. Ivanka’s upscale jewelry brand used her father’s political appearance to promote a $10,800 bracelet she had worn during the broadcast. "

"Without citing evidence to support his claim, Donald Trump tweeted, “In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally”."

"During Inauguration Day, Melania Trump’s biography on the White House’s official website, whitehouse.gov, included a paragraph that promoted her jewelry line, “Melania™ Timepieces & Jewelry.” "

"Donald Trump took aim at Attorney General Jeff Sessions again, calling him “beleaguered” in a tweet about the Russia investigation."

I could go on and on and on. But id be here all night copy and pasting things. A lot of "claimed' and "accused" thrown in there as well. If I had a dollar for everything I seen those words, Id have enough money to eat a Michelin Star restaurant. A lot of it is subjective too. Saying "mean" things doesnt count.

There is nothing to think about.
Leftist Ideology 101 - All whites are racist. Especially white straight men. Especially Trump, Pence, Putin & Hitler. Always racist, all the time.
Once you've got that, you can see it straight away. Totally racist, just like me :)
show me where i have ever said - or even implied - that all whites are racist and ill send you $100.

i don't think anybody in here has ever said all whites are racist. your response does not address the question and just seeks to distract from the actual issue.

alasdair
