Yeah I mean, in all honesty, once you step outside the orbit of tabloid media, social media streams and crank YouTube videos, I don't think anything has changed much in years.
People are in general less homophobic and I think more careful to avoid racial and misogynistic slurs, but that's not exactly an onerous burden is it.
I do think traditional notions of hegemonic masculinity have been changing though, which can probably feel confusing and threatening to guys familiar with former masculine behavioural norms.
But that process isn't new and shifts from generation to generation anyway. Hence the phenomenon of the grumpy old man (and woman)
