I usually smoke crack out of cans because it's convenient, but am tired of wasting it and usually gets some burns on ny thumb . My ex would smoke it with me out of a wrench socket with brillow but he did all the prep work. i decided to buy a socket and copper kitchen scours (similar to chore boy but there's no chore boy where I lives) I cut a small piece and burned it and rolled it up in to a longish round piece. I then tried smoking out of it after melting the rock some but got little success. What could i be doing wrong?

I dont know why that isnt working. Do you not have a smoke shop in your town? Go there to buy a straight shooter. Put a small piece of brillo in one end, down a cm or so. Put your crack in there and smoke.

This is a pretty clear-cut matter of fire making things hot. I don't mean to patronize you, but as a drug addict, I would say knowledge of thermodynamics can become specialized that you will eventually be able to use your thumb/pointer finger as a crude smoking implement. It's possible and it gives you something to look forward to, so keep working on it.

In all seriousness, using dangerously short smoking implements with a drug like Crack Cocaine is pretty dangerous considering it's a drug that can easily overtake your drive for self-preservation. Basically, it's my opinion that you are going to become intimately familiar with smoking technique after spending hours feverishly heating a crack pipe. You should really invest in a basic set up in which you're not liable to keep burning yourself.

There are DIY options and headshops typically sell "things that are not used for smoking crack". I'm leaving this open in defense of lips everywhere.

Lol Keif. OP, I've never been to a head shop that doesn't sell glass stems. You should invest in one as opposed to a wrench socket. We can't let this thread turn into a sourcing situation so I'll leave it at that. I think the copper chore piece you used is too big. Like pickled said, a half inch should work fine.
