Opioids Does lean affect opioid tolerance much?

I only had around 1/6 worth of prometh/codeine cough syrup a few days ago, but plan on taking 30mg oxycodone soon. Before the lean, the last time I had any opioids was 2 weeks ago. Will this small amount of codeine lessen my oxycodone high?
 
No, sounds like you don't have any tolerance at all. Maybe take less the. 30mg of oxy if this is one of your first times. 30mg just might make you feel sick.
 
I've done 25mg hydrocodone before, how would 30mg oxycodone compare to that? I experienced no nausea from the hydrocodone.
 
Most conversion charts say 15mg of hydrocodone equals 10mg of oxycodone. And since there could be incomplete cross-tolerance you should usually dose a bit lower. Keep in mind this is for therapeutic use not recreational but Id still only take 10-15mg oxy to start.
 
Yeah definitely start with lower then 30mg of oxy, especially if this is your first time with oxy. Even though you handled hydrocodone before you won't know how your body will react to oxy. I agree with kitty, take 10-15 mg to start.

I've experienced grueling nausea from opiates I've had little experience with even though I have a decent tolerance, you just never know how you'll react to a new drug.
 
I'll most likely lower my dose. Do you think combining 25-50mg of diphenhydramine would lessen any nausea I might experience?
 
It'll lessen the nausea and itching but it will increase the sedation. unless you like be drowsy off opiates then you should keep the DPH as low as possible, so more like 25mg.

Also scratch a little bit of the pill off and put it on your tongue as an allergy test, I do this with every drug I take.
 
Generally an extreme histamine reaction. Swelling and inflammation like crazy (particularly with codeine, morphine and heroin type opioids). Allergic reaction can also include symptoms of an OD, like shallow breathing (to the point of basically not being able to breathe). Generally it's like a super severe histamine reaction though (where the throat can get so swollen you choke to death without medical intervention - oral steroids like prednisone are used to treat this kind of histamine reaction).
 
I doubt 30mg of oxy would kill a grown human but you might end up feeling violently ill and have very depressed breathing. It's really better if you start with less.

Think of it this way, if 10mg gets you high then you can get high 3 times, even if it takes 15mg you can still get high twice. If you take all 30 at once you can only get high once and with no tolerance it's very likely you'll just get really sick.

The lean you drank will probably have little to no impact on the experience you'll have with the Oxy. So if I assume you're pretty opioid intolerant and this is a first time Oxycodone use, 30mg will kick you in the ass pretty hard. Like the other guy said, start small and go from there, 10-15mg can be pretty overwhelming for a lot of first time users.
 
I ended up only taking 15mg so I could take the other 15mg another time, and I'm glad I didn't take the 30mg all at once. 15mg gave me a nice high, not too overwhelming but stronger than I expected.
 
Good to hear you decided on the lower dose. When it comes to your first time with any drugs it's generally better to go with the lower end of the threshold. This is true not only for safety sake but to keep your tolerance low.
