I went on a walk this morning and stumbled across a huge San Pedro in full bloom. Or at least it sure looks like one. It's time to dust off my machete and cacti identification manual ;)
 
I'd love me some 2c-:D perhaps even more than you my friend, which I really know is saying something in this case.

I know you're not a huge magic mushroom fan, but I've also been really interest in a good dose of that this summer. Too bad the only place I know to find them requires a trip across the city to the beach.

I am looking forward to picking up a bunch of new and exciting and different types of hash tomorrow. I've decided I enjoy hash a lot more than shatter, though wax and shatter concentrates have a place in my arsenal.

I really like where my tolerance is right now with cannabis. A nice fat spliff produces effects which include a mild tramadol-esque buzz feeling (which I enjoy).

Me too. Today could go either one of two ways for me: relaxed and a bit bored or stressful. Or maybe I'll find a happy medium of relaxed and productive? That would be cool...

We can dream brother, we can dream :)

depends which 2c-x you mean...

but mescaline is the best phenethylamine psychedelic i've had, by far.
i've not sampled the whole range of phen psychs, but mescaline is divine in my experience. well, san pedro juice, to be more specific. i've not had pure or synthetic mescaline.
but damn i love me some pedro extract
 
i'm pleased at how easy it is to find footlong cuttings where i live. never had such ready access to mescaline cacti before - it's usually something i spend years cultivating.
makes me extra happy because mescaline is such a rare drug (and a fucking gem of a drug at that).

it still takes a fair bit of preparing (no matter how you juice or extract it), but it's pretty great. i've seen monster san pedros growing all over the neighbourhood as well - literally dozens, but i don't really think i'd want to trip on pilfered san pedro - unless it's like a massive tree with dozens of limbs, or on nobody-in-particular's property.
i like seeing pedros in people's yards, because i always think "ah, they're a head" :)
 
I'm simply amazed at my resolve in NOT removing a cutting today without the owners' permission. The fact they have such an incredibly beautiful flowering specimen definitely gives me the kind of respect for it where I just wouldn't feel right just ripping them off. Plus I really don't like to steal from people like that - even if it's rather innocent. And I'm getting too old for that kind of juvenile activity, as much as I might still enjoy it ;)

I'm going to walk back over sometime and ask them to (A) take a picture of me standing next to their massive 8' specimen and (B) asking if they could spare a cutting for a fellow cactophile (I might also pull the grad student card).

Yes, I've been thinking about this for the last 8 hrs ;)

I wish more SP grew where I live! It's not exactly uncommon, but "wild" thickets of it are somewhat rare. Normally it's just a couple one offs in the front yard at most or something.

Anyways, I'm definitely looking forward taking a trip to Oz to visit BL friends some day. Once I'm off probation and all :D 8)
 
I've been thinking about cultivating some San Pedro. Aside from containing some magical chemicals, they're actually really cool plants. They're one of the fastest growing cacti iirc.
 
I think it was rarest drug in your area but this BL'er had a card permitting the growing of Peyote for religious tribal reasons. I guess that would work like a medical MJ card.

p.s. HOW THE FUCK do I get one of those? It would really come in handy and go a ways to legitimize my use of entheogens in the eyes of those strait laced folks I'm going to be dealing with in my academic pursuits (MDiv).

That is seriously REALLY cool you have that thought. Makes me really happy that actually exists, particularly in CA as I didn't know we had something like that here (or is it more Federal?).



Slow_Mobius, what is your favorite cacti in terms of flowering?
 
Hey now I don't have one yet myself. I was thinking of telling one of my neighbors that I'm from the CDC... The Cactus Disease Control, or some other pathetic excuse like that where I can come out as the good guy. I'm a big fu@#er and would be spotted easily. I'll have to check if he was on Casino lands or what..
 
Shoot, you had me me all hot and bothers over the possibility ;)

I find that straight up telling people that I'm a cactophile and asking if they could spare a cutting of their "fine specimen of ___" for my collection works pretty well. Particularly with owners who are aware they contain mescaline :)
