I hear you Xorkoth. I did the same path first opiates and then stimulants. Opiates never were a big problem for me, but after a while all the positives effects dissapeared and I was left with adiction and a bit space out. For me it is really imposible to get the nice effects again, it is like the magic on them has dissapeared. Quitting was not very difficult for me, I never dip myself too deep. Right now I can even occasionaly take some. The urge to take again the next day is not very strong. But just with 3 or 4 days in a row my body starts feeling weird. I can already smell that sweat...
Pentylone is quite dopaminergic. Maybe that's better. I am quite sure abusing any serotonergic stimulant is the worst for your brain. 4-EMC sounds much more dangerous. The problem with them is that the empatogenic effect doesn't last much so you keep redosing but the cost for the body is like if you were taking MDMA that way.
Anyway for people who has a tendence to take drugs stimulants are bad news. I stop ordering and just take them when a friend give me just a little. I cannot control it. And I harm myself. Stimulants can fuck you up really quickly. It is easy to stop when there is nothing left...
Only weed and cannabinoids are more compulsive for me. I am clearly a cannabicolic. I try to stay away from it. I smoked too much when I was really young so I have a behaviour pattern that it is just impossible to change. I like the stuff but I don't have a limit. With cannabinoids I got a couple of times in the hospital with seizures and I lost all strengh in the extremities which is a sign of neurotoxicity. My scanner of the brain is normal but some arteries look older than should. I blame stimulants and cannabinoids.
