Hope you feel better soon - I don't recommend my self-medicating method of 'remedy' but goddam it temporarily stops the cough cough coughing. Soup for the win

Thanks for the kind words Stee, and congrats on such a legible post - considering you were benzoed to buggery =D

My daughter's birthday meal was a bit shit actually - most of the family let us down so it was just me, wifey and kids (thank fuck!). But the place we went to was a horrible family chain pub with ideas above its station who only cater for people having meals. I've never been to a pub (sorry, 'Restaurant) so totally devoid of character and atmosphere. it was full of fat bastards stuffing their faces and snotty kids rolling around on the floor. Also, they HAD NO FUCKIN NEWCASTLE BROWN!! So I chose Abbotts ale (5% ), only to be told they had none. Ended up drinking pissy IPA (3.6% ) that tasted watered down. Good job i'd already necked half a bottle of vodka, 2 cans of Karpackie and a bottle of sherry... ;)
 
I thought I'd cringe reading that back today - but of course 'the wine brings out the truth' (or the clonitrazolam) and I meant every word. Parenting is a skill I admire without being able to put it into words and if there is any justice hopefully no child will ever have the embarrassment to have such a useless prick such as myself as a father, even if I accidentally fling a a fuck, even at this stage in some misguided girls direction

The pre - load plan like it paid off, kinda. Did you actually get any grub?

You obviously don't know how much of a useless prick of a father I am then mate. My kids are doing well despite me, not because of me...

Yeh, the grub was ok but a bit overpriced for a tight arsed shitcunt like me (i'm more your '2 for £10' kinda guy). But it was one of those places where once you've finished your meal, the serving staff keep glaring at you because there's a queue of fat bastards drooling all over the floor waiting for a table. So we made the cunts wait while we sat taking the piss out of them all. One of the qualities I've actually managed to pass on to my kids is a warped sense of humour :)
 
Can't remember who it was, but someone posted up a guardian article about Hamilton Morris a week or so ago (the Vice guy that travels the world investigating various drug related stories). This came up in my youtube suggestions.

I'm not loving that the local 'Delboy & Rodney dvd store' has been shut for renovations which should only have taken a few days but are taking far far longer now. Bugger.
