Interesting.... I think I've already pierced the shapes part on a one dimensional or basic level, as there's this relationship I can see and feel between the notes. But recently I've been playing completely without the minor keys to try and develop that more, so like I said, one dimensional in a way. In doing all of this, is there anything you can recommend or any resources you can recommend in regards to actually playing with my hands, how to hold them, which fingers to use when, etc. technique? Or just let that grow with the musicality?

You know what, I've always wanted to do it so maybe I will. Of course I will.

Well hard for me to say... I learned classical piano starting at age 8 and I learned all the proper ways to do stuff. But then I didn't play for 12 years and when I started again it was in a totally different type of music and style of playing. I learned a lot of stuff over again and I'm trying to pull from that. I think technique can be your own in some ways, I mean there are certain ways that are the only way it makes sense. It should come with time. You could try checking out some youtube videos too, I never have but it seems like there would be videos teaching technique and scales.

Just making sure but when I say "minor keys" I don't mean the black keys, the black keys just represent half steps from their surrounding white keys (confusingly, E to F and B to C are half steps, without a black key in between, whereas others like A to B are whole steps, and they have a black key between that is the half step). What I mean by minor keys is not related to the physical keys on the keyboard, but the scale being played. You might already know this though I just wanted to make sure because I couldn't tell if you were perhaps not understanding what I meant. :) If you're playing all the white keys only then you're in some mode of A minor or C major because all the other scales have 1 or more black keys in them.

I played piano when I was about 8 too! I never learned much but I should start it again

I played from 8 to 19, and then stopped because I went into computer science instead of music and didn't have time. In many ways I was better then than I am now, I cared about it a lot, but I only played classical music that was written out, I didn't know how to just play and create music.

Skydiving is probably safer than driving your car to fge dropzone

I couldn't do it until I had a death wish...then I had trouble finding a group of friends to go with me. ;/ It's still on the list right behind buying a new bike. Need that speed back in my life, a ride a day keeps the drugs away. :)

Interesting, ok. I will just worry about the musicality and let the technique follow along.

I didn't mistake you for meaning the black keys, I appreciate the clarification however. I am aware of major/minor, really the whole theory of scales, and how that works out on a keyboard. It's just not memorized. For instance I know how to find the scale on the keyboard, whole half whole whole half whole etc etc. I just can't look at the keys and know without counting it out. Out of curiosity, am I incorrect in calling them minor keys?

On another note... Has anyone with experience with Noopept ever tried insufflating instead of sublingually or orally dosing? After realizing it wasn't readily absorbing in my mouth and reading online to try insufflation, I did so yesterday and holy SHIT. Huge difference. I've never truly felt Noopept before I don't think, and I've gone through a gram of it, a couple years back. This stuff is fantastic.

Haha that's so funny because I literally JUST snorted some Noopept for the first time! So weird! So far, like 10 minutes later I definitely feel a bit of a nice stimulation. Mild but definitely nice. Works better than orally for sure. With most nootropics I find the effects could be chalked up to placebo, though I notice them, but snorting Noopept is definitely beyond placebo.

That's really good you already understand the piano some and how to find the scales. I would just work on really memorizing them. Also try playing along with music, something that is pretty simple in structure, when you feel comfortable. It will teach you a lot about the key(s) it's in.

The minor keys are the scales that start 3 half-steps down from a major key. For example, the relative minor of C major is A minor because A is 3 half-steps down from C. Or in other words, the way to find out the structure of A minor, you would move up 3 half-steps to C, and realize that in A minor, there are no black keys because C has no black keys. When you start playing you can do a lot with the major/minor relationship in terms of movement of the music.

I like to compare drugs to food. I trust my body to know what it needs for proper nutrition, and similarly, I trust my instincts about drugs. When I crave a food, I eat it; when I crave a drug, I take it. So far, this has worked for me.

And it is an almost entirely surefire way to completely fuck up your life. Don't know how old you are only that you're a good deal older than me. Don't do this.

I'm on at least fifth of hard liquor, five psych meds including two benzos and a pack of Newports, plus gambling, whoring and Suboxone. I consider suicide often. This is where you're headed with a plan like that.

All told I've spent at least $xxx,000 on drugs and other such vices and bad habits in the past y-z years for a non-insignficant value of course and quite small period of y/z; counting solely net losses; the other figure is an unmentionable.

Sometime I will pretty soon be heading to a detox facility so I don't literally die from alcohol withdrawal or whatever else and hopefully keep my job etc.

SAid the same thing. After visiting a roller coaster park and doing their 150ft pendelum wire swing 5 times I booked a skydive the next week. Now im going for my 5th and 6th tommorrow, barely a month after my first jump

Its weird. It kinda takes away my death wish. Like if I can do something so awesome why the fuck would I want to die???!!!

It isn't that I want to I just know I only have a couple of more blows to the head until I'm a drooling retard so I decided to start knocking out the bucket list early. ;)

I made the mistake of watching Trainspotting today and I want a hit bad, this scene never fails to make me laugh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm4fsi6OvFI

Done that more times than I can remember. :D

Well skydiving seems to be more Harm Reduction for you than getting back on a bike/quad. Im the spirit of Bluelight I suggest you try it first friend :-)

1.5mg of DOC oral w/ 5mg Noopept insufflated @ 7:35am local time, heading out to pick up breakfast tacos a block away, then it's time to see what this one has to offer :D
