First Time MDMA Use, ED

Hi,

It was my first time using MDMA Thursday evening around 9pm, it lasted a good few hours until about 4-6am Friday morning. I didn't sleep at all, went to work at 1pm until about 5pm. I came home, went to bed about 8pm, and woke up at 9am this morning. I noticed whilst on MDMA my penis had shrunken a massive amount and it looked really small. Throughout the day it has gotten bigger and started to return to its normal size, its still not 100% there. I also cannot get an erection. Is this just a side effect? Will it go away once the MDMA has gotten out of my system? Its been 37 hours since I took the drug.

mdma, like any stimulant, constricts peripheral blood vessels resulting in shrinkage of body parts whose size depends on blood flow. once the mdma is out of your system everything should be back to normal.

Ah okay, do you know how long it takes? Its been just under 48 hours now.

Yes.

It is mainly caused by the highly increased levels of prolactin (prolactin causes limp dick after orgasm and inability to gain erection for a while) released by MDMA. Vasoconstriction isn't necessarily a major contributor.

PDE5 Inhibitors (cialis/viagra) are commonly used by those who party with MDMA/MDA to counter-act the limp dick.

get a blow job instead of trying to masturbate
 
Update: Its now Sunday morning, just had a night of partying, only drank alcohol, nothing else. Still cannot get an erection.
Took MDMA on Thursday, its now Sunday, anyone have an idea of how long it'll be?

Sounds psychological now.

I have never heard of anyone having what you describe. The limp dick goes away shortly after the peak.

Are you on any prescription medication??

I was on propranolol for anxiety, but I haven't taken it in about 3 weeks.

Update: I can get it up but only if I play with it first, then leading to an orgasm, once its up it wont stay up on its own, you have to keep playing with it, even with porn it still goes down. However, it eventually leads to an erection and I can orgasm. Does this mean its getting better, will it be able to go up on its own again soon?

You have created a psychological block. There isnt anything wrong with you man. The ED only happens whilst on the drug. (not me :P, im lucky)

Basically, if I play with it, turn myself on, it'll get hard and i'll be able to orgasm. However, if I watch porn it won't go up by itself, dont wake up with 'morning wood' anymore, hoping these are just side effects, until the MDMA is fully out of my system. Its been 4 days since I did the drug, shouldn't be too much longer until it is out of my system? Correct?

Not necessarily. The ED always lasts for 2-3 days for me as well. This is most definitely not psychological in my case because I don't worry about it one bit, it's just the way my body works. Some people are just more sensitive to this. I always have some cyalis on hand for when my gf is staying over in the days following mdma use. It has been like this for me for over a decade. Not a single issue with ED if I don't use mdma even when I'm with someone new and so a bit stressed to perform. In the days following use I slowly go from unable to achieve erection to a semi-full erection to a full one. Sometimes when I took a very high dose it can take as much as 4-5 days to return to normal

Don't sweat it - if you were working before, then your going to be working afterwards - it just takes a bit of time and for you to not overthink it. If you sitting thinking I can't get hard, I can't get hard then your not going to get hard.
 
SWIM has never had any problems with ED when he rolled. It's all in your mind. And by that we mean that your thinking is causing anxiety which is the biggest enemy of hardons. Chill man, you're fine
