Maybe if a third party decided who was placed on the terrorist watch list I'd feel better about the purposed gun control.
Calm down nobody is asking for the un or one world government. I'd take a federal reserve type scenario except each have equal oversight over each other. This third party would have a panel of NRA officials, left wing anti constitution officials, etc...It is true. We need an Oversight committee for who can have guns that is not the government.
Hillary leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It is amazing that people actively vote against their best interest.
@nevada caucus: That is amazing that there is not more investigations going on.

Yeah but I was only referring to that one gun control proposal.Campaign finances was why Obama sent the IRS to a lot of conservative groups. There was fraud going on. Unfortunately, if one goes after a group, said group gets all butthurt because they are a group. The IRS should be a sector of government that is not partisan, but unfortunately it is.
Also: It doesn't matter if it is a conservative or a liberal... Any bad actors are going to make problems. During conservative administrations we have hurt the american people's ability to sustain themselves. During liberal administrations we have hurt corporations ability to create and sustain jobs. The real problem is greed. Corporate greed keeps corporations from spreading the love downward. Political greed keeps people in power that no longer serve their constituents as is the case of hillary clinton. We need moderate politicians that are not beholden to corporate overlords, or special interests. The interest of the people they serve should come first. This is something we have not had in many years. Checks and balances my ass. We have an obstructionist congress...so much so that they shut the government down rather than vote on bills that would help the american people. It is sad. It is also sad that you believe that it is only the liberals fault we are in this mess droppers. Open your eyes and realize that it is not a partisan thing, but a politician thing.
When you broaden your horizens and take the blinders off dropper, come back to me.
I think requiring "sunset provisions" for a lot of legislation, especially the feelgood bullshit that gets passed, would go a long way in reining in the abuses that inevitably creep in. I wonder if the WOD would be the behemoth that it's become or civil asset forfeiture's would have turned so corrupt if Congress had to revisit it every so many years. At the least it would keep them busy justifying the old bullshit rather than passing new bullshit.Applying sunsets to newly formed agencies might work too.I wonder if the FBI or DEA would have survived in their present form if they had to be re-authorized every 20,30 or 40 years.
Doing away with qualified immunity would be huge in going after rogues and cleaning out the abusers. That's a huge draw for attracting assholes into government jobs, cops, prosecutors and judges being the first that come to mind. And fuck lifetime appointments for the Supremes too.Where else do you get to work till you die of natural or unnatural causes regardless of the job you are doing ?
And term limits for everyone elected to public office. Our legislators were ment to serve for some period of time and then go back home. Now,they literally are better than the rest of us,hell it's legal for them to trade on inside info.End lobbying too while I'm at it.If your business or industry needs to bribe lawmakers to succeed you don't deserve to be in business.Man,there's so much that's fucked up in America,I havn't even scratched the surface. Nixon resigned over 20 minutes of erased tapes while that witch erased thousands of emails and is walking around free to cackle at the Feds. Uhggg.
Yeah but I was only referring to that one gun control proposal.
You know that will happen. And the way the no fly list is run now you have absolutely no way to question anything about it. They would have to seriously reform the process before I could get behind tying the two together. I don't blame the NRA's current opposition one bit.Let's say we ban all people on the no fly list from buying weapons. So why not start trying to see how we can expand the number of people not eligible to fly?

If Trump continues to support not letting people on watch lists buy guns I'll be unhappy when I vote for him.
It's such a slippery slope.
Example: let's put everyone on bluelight on a watchlist. They tend to have anti authoritarian views. They can't buy guns now.
Shit, cars are weapons too, they can't drive.
And while we're at it, they can't vote. They're against the system.
