Oxycodone is given primarily to the terminally ill on this island. Anyone capable of surfing certainly wouldn't get an oxy script in Blighty.

Count yourself lucky Australia is a type of modern Britain.

My GP (actually my ex-gp) - was nothing but kind when she heard about my drug abuse, wanted to help, didn't treat me like scum, but I've experienced the other end of the spectrum too and it fucking sucks I know.

Not once have I gone to him, or any other Dr drug seeking. The only thing I've asked of him regarding my substance abuse is a referral to Drug Services. Guys a prick.

If your doc knows anything about past opioid use/abuse, you're blacklisted for life.

The most important point has already been brought up here - these RC benzos would not have been such a big deal if the NHS just prescribed pharma benzos to people who need them in the first place. The UK RC benzo market had more selection of products than even the US market, which makes sense when US doctors prescribe benzos more freely while the NHS does nothing but hand out SSRIs.

And now the legal benzo market is dead, products like these pressed bars will take their place. Drugs don't just disappear because the government changes the law.
 
No i have never fucked my doctor. She is hot though. I am just honest. She knows my entire history including drug use. But she trusts me and knows what i need. I could not fool or con her if i tried. She looks at me and knows where i am at. Maybe i am lucky i live in Australia but i am also a nurse and understand the risks and benefits of my treatment. 2 slipped disks backed up from an mri make an oxy prescription when i need it no problem. A history of anxiety and my father passing away make benzos no problem. My gp knows i am not drug seeking. I need help. I get it. End of story
 
OK, my mistake. What with me being an ex-lurker, I thought I'd read that you'd recently started on it.

Over here, you wouldn't get oxys for a couple of slipped disks -- especially at your age. (70?)

You probably get oxys because you're a medicine man. Your fit female doc - whether you bang the bitch or not - as you said trusts you won't abuse your meds. (even though you do)

I very rarely take oxy. You know fuck all about me. I have a box thats been sitting there for two months. Cry me a rainbow you cant get decent pain relief in England. Sorry but your aggressive attitude is troll alert. Not responding to you any further.
 
When I say not using anymore, I did use last week after a night out. First time in months and I can honestly say I'm in no rush to again. Which isn't my usual reaction, usually it's flat out from the initial lapse.

Free prescribing of benzodiazepines has been tried before, and it led to widespread addiction and misery. The NHS is quite correct in restricting the use of these drugs. There was a massive black market for benzos long before the RC benzos appeared, so to suggest that the ban is responsible for spawning illicit benzos is totally incorrect. Besides which, if you take a look at this thread and its predecessors you'll see that the RC benzo scene created a hell of a lot of addicts who would not have experimented with benzos had they not been available legally at the click of a mouse. Even the staunchest opponent of prohibition would admit that widespread access to benzos is a recipe for disaster. It may present a major inconvenience to those (like myself) who were able to keep things under control, but ultimately these insidious drugs are only effective as a very short-term treatment, under medical supervision.

Mate my dad just died. So i am having a few lines and drinking some nice booze. Well fuck you. I need a release. And yes i have benzos. Go through what i am and do my job and see how you go. Personally i could not give a fuck about football. The only sport i care about is surfing. Let me know when you have a world champ.

To make blanket statements like i abuse my meds. Well go work in a hospital. Nurse people to they die. Wipe s thousand incontinent arses and make feel not embarrassed about it. I'm just in a silly mood and you clearly are not in the mood for it.

But you DO abuse your meds. Diazepam, whether prescribed or not, should never be used in conjunction with alcohol. Therefore abuse...of the most minor kind.
