What do you carry for personal protection? Guns, knives, and mace Oh My!

Obviously the best way to stay safe in a sketchy situation is to not be in it, but sometimes we take risks. Even if it's not sketchy I think everyone should have some way to defend themselves if needed. You never know when your dope dealer lets himself get addicted to the same crap he is slanging and all the sudden he's in a jam and you think you are picking up a couple Gs but in reality he's ready to burn the bridge and take your money. Endless sceniros where you need a way to defend yourself.

I unfortunately am not allowed to own a firearm so I carry a 6" buck knife that I keep razor sharp. I also keep a smaller knife and a little can of mace in my car. I had an extendable steel baton but it broke. Even if it's just s mental thing I feel much safer with my knife on my hip. Never pulled it on anymore and hopefully will never have to but it's there if I need it.

So in short, what weapons do you have for personal protection?

My friends carry guns so nothing.

And yeah I'm serious. My friends who are into gnarly shit like me (read: morphine heroin etc.) live back in VT where toting a rifle or handgun is commonplace. Where I live now everything is need is legal or easily obtainable thru online storefronts. When dealing online the first transaction is trust based and then for repeat dealers it's easier.

Love the user name and associated show. I don't carry anything anymore used to have a badass carbon steal switch blade. I like the idea of carrying mace only because my dream is to mace someone but more than likely I would just accidently spray myself in the eyes again. I got myself twice as a kid at Walmart once with my mom's pepper spray and once with mace. Anybody here ever get that shit in their eyes it fucks your day up for like 20 minutes?

A Ruger 9MM handgun in my inner jacket pocket. A knife tucked inside my boot. Another knife tucked into the driver's side door of my car. A Remington 20 gauge shotgun loaded with buckshot for home defense. And...that's pretty much it I guess.

I wouldn't ever draw a weapon on someone unless I was probably going to use it, though, and that probably wouldn't happen in any sort of drug related-situation. Drugs simply aren't worth taking a person's life over IMO. But if someone were to break into my home, or I felt like my life were in imminent danger outside my home, and I had the opportunity to grab my gun? I would use it, not even a doubt in my mind...

Nothing. The people i buy Cannabis, Coke/Crack, Opiates and when i am really lucky E off are usually people who i have known for ages and have pretty much grown up with. I refuse to deal with dodgy people when i don't have to so i guess that's my best protection there. On the rare occasion where i do have to make a purchase off people i don't trust i usually carry a Stanley knife or a regular knife with no spring so i can open it quickly. Gun's are not something you have to worry about here unless your making a rather large purchase so carrying one isn't worth the potential prison time of being caught carrying a illegal handgun. I have never even had to use a knife as i find not getting myself into dodgy situations to be the best defense.

So far the only cunt that ever ripped me off was a former friend who i made the mistake of trusting. That was eventually resolved in a non violent fashion. Other then that a complete moron who fronted me complete shit Coke and then expected me for some reason to pay him tried to rip me off. He thought id pay him despite the fact he wouldn't even fight me ffs 8) . I just told him if he wanted money for nothing he was going to have to earn it but he was not interested lol :D . Those have so far been the only people that ripped me of or tried to i guess. Considering i have been buying drugs since i was about 11 or 12 that's not bad.

I have a whole drawer full of knives, tasers, pepper spray and other goods to choose from that I confiscated running security at shows back in the day. I don't ever have large sums of cash or drugs on me outside my home so nothing more than that is needed. I'd rather get robbed and beaten on the streets than put myself in a situation to shoot someone. For home protection, 44 mag and various other rifles and shotguns cause once someone invades your private property they're often hellbent on hurting you.

a vial of lsd.
A man after my own heart.

I have never carried a weapon. Never would. I know some heavy duty people that do but they are friends so i have no worry about that. Not the kind of people you would cross. If you are messing around with crew on that kind of level you best be on the level or bad shit can and will happen. Not many people in Australia have guns thank fuck but generally people on the wrong side of the law that do will use them. Best to avoid giving them a reason to.

It's a lot less problematic and scary when everyone has them. Most gun owners aren't psychos like the media wants us to believe. Should there be strict background checks and limits on high powered weapons? Of course. Guns aren't pulling their own triggers though. If I'm in a rural area I'd feel safer being permitted to carry if I chose to. In an urban area if people notice you're carrying it can arouse a lot more suspicion so I probably would avoid that. Overall I'd say I'm equally comfortable, maybe more comfortable in an environment where upstanding citizens can own firearms vs. only govt or very few people.

Trying to think of a polite way to say this......nope, sorry, can't.

Spent thirty years buying drugs, twenty of them in some of the roughest (supposedly) parts of London. Never needed a firearm, never needed a knife. I wonder how that can be?

I have a hard time finding where you're being impolite, lol. You always post quality. To the debate: Needing something and wanting something, in the case of personal protection, is very different. I drive my car and truck, neither of which have any airbags, in traffic every day. Do I need them for my personal protection? Nope, I am in a metal cage with a 3 point seatbelt. Sure would make me feel safer in the unlikely event of a serious crash however. Just like how I could cop in a foreign place unarmed, I would feel safer if I were armed.

I think there is going to be a dichotomy here USA vs other countries due to our 2nd amendment among other cultural differences. Example: It's easy to keep a rifle used for deer in your whip after the season is over, just in case. Easier than deciding to go out and buy a gun to use someday, sometime, maybe. We already got em so why not use em?

Brandishing any weapon will escalate a situation, so they're pretty much for when shit has gone far south already.

I think its better to get ripped off, then use a weapon. You may lose money, but starting a situation, that could get violent, is far more worth. The consequences may be a lot more dramatic. Personally I cant imagine any drug related situation where carrying a weapon, will be a good thing.

Just my good looks and winning personality. That kept things on the level with everyone I dealt with. Peace love dope!

Not going to get in a debate about guns but i for one feel much safer not having our country full of them. Sure the hard men carry them but dont fuck with them they dont fuck with you.

I dont see the need to own guns unless you hunt, are a sporting shooter or a farmer. But thats just me.

I have a decent knife collection, usually always have my favorite one on me. Italian Stiletto, probably the most useful one in a bind. I also keep a spring assisted and some other random warehouse knife in my car.

I'm always really paranoid that people want to steal from me for some reason. I've never had to use any of them, but I just feel better knowing they're there.

Kindness and good vibes man %) <3

And a little squirt bottle of NBOMe's for those who haven't seen the truth yet mannnnnnn

Everyone has guns in my area too but as you are not allowed to carry a handgun to anywhere but the range as handguns are in the restricted category only people carrying alot of weight ever carry them as you can get in heaps of shit for carrying illegal Handguns here. You can have a shotgun or Rifle in your truck or car as long as it's out of reach, have it registered and it's in the non restricted category. This means you can carry any long gun from a semi auto only Submachine gun like a BRS-99 or various Assault rifle's like the VZ58 or T-97 to a shotgun in your car. The only time i have seen guns used around here though is when someone really fucks up as in they really fuck over the wrong person or rat on someone.
