Yep there does seem to be a lot more bans these days than there used to be.

I think maybe it's a bit of both with the ban bar being set lower and also maybe more unacceptable posts. I dunno cos the posts have always been removed and i never get to see why someone was banned.

It's certainly true that about 3 years ago if you wrote anything that violated the rules in EADD a mod would remove the post and explain why rather than reach for the ban hammer.

Almost anything used to go in EADD but I guess the membership has changed and the nature of some online relationships on here has necessitated an increase in bans:? I dunno. 8(

I don't actually care about those words but the ever growing list of things that are banned from discussion. Like I got a warning partly for asking how old your kid is evey in which was an honest inquiry. I've noted that I appreciated your participation in the lounge:) This safe space nanny culture bleeding into all facets of our beings can make one feel overwhelmed and claustrophobic. Hopefully I'm not breaking a rule by telling you this as I am trying to honestly make with decent contributions in eead.

I can't comment on that as I don't know what happened. There are different degrees of censorship, in my opinion, n it has to be balanced with keeping people safe at the same time. Years ago we had an Ace mod called Knock. He was against censorship but he wouldn't let people be bullied or hurt. Same with Scotchy in my opinion. EADD is different to the lounge n the mods here do an amazing job here in that they allow banter etc but don't allow people to be hurt n those banned words hurt people. That's why there's the lounge because it's a different type of humour in which people are not necessarily upset. All communities are different I guess. I've probably explained this wrong.

A lovely mate of mine reminded me that EADD seemed a lot more fun when everyone had access and was ingesting quality E's regularly. He's got a point. Now everyone seems to be on Stims these days. What a fucking difference it makes. Rude, paranoid people constantly looking for a fight or getting offended at the slightest thing. It used to be more loved up because most of that was chemically induced.

As the legend himself once said, be the change you want to see ( I hate paraphrasing, I always get it wrong. The idea still remains ) If you want a better EADD treat people the way you wish to be treated. It's really a rather simple concept. NON?
