Wow dude good picks. I literally just shared that Lips song to my Facebook friends like 3 days ago. It's so very beach boys esque. And I love that.
And I tip my hat to anyone who remembers Folk implosion.

I always liked the instrumentation honestly. I think it's meant to compliment the vocalist, and it does a great job of that, IMO. They accomplish what they set out to do. Also, check out some of their new stuff when you get the chance.

I'll check My Brightest Diamond some time, I've never heard of them. But for now, I'm too goddamn tired to do anything.

I listened to some of the new album there seemed to be more guitar work which I enjoyed. What did you think? You notice more emphasis on the guitars?

My first impression was that they are really refining their sound. They just keep progressing, I did notice that there are more stand-outs, guitar-wise. I think there are a lot more memorable moments in the instrumentation on the new album.
