Bernie Sanders

He seems to be doing fine to me.

droppers, i think you're the one in denial.

his grassroots campaign is built on an intelligent discussion of the topics and not just "'murica #1. muslims out" soundbites which are great at grabbing attention and whipping a crowd into a hateful, violent frenzy but have very little foundation in terms of policy or planning.

america is learning that "democratic socialism" is not a dirty word*

alasdair

* yes, i know the phrase is two words :)

Missing points often brother. I can see why you like him tbh, without a pragmatic thought process or a sense of history I find a persons grasp on politics to be severely hindered.

That's kind of what I've been saying about you this entire election cycle. The problem with that is that you don't seem to learn as we go along. It's like throwing dry spaghetti at a wall and hoping it sticks.

Trump is simply an means to an end. Being a person that really likes Rand Paul and voted for him in the primary I am no fan of trump. Sometimes we have to vote in the interest of the republic long term. All that matters is Trump gets elected and he keeps the SCOTUS from radicalizing imo. Being one that believes in individualism and one that believes i collectivism are concepts too far apart on the spectrum for us ever to find common ground, regretfully, alasdair.

The man literally told us in plain language that he could convince all the stupid people to support him by lying. He's talking about you.

How do you even know he holds Republican values? It's obvious he doesn't believe half the shit he says and it's all for show to drum up support from the dredges of this country. He's brought all the closet racists, homophobes, Xenophobes, and uneducated slackjaw yokels out of the woodwork. For all you know the dude could be as liberal as Bernie Sanders. That's my point: This person you see on stage and in these speeches, debates, and interviews is a made-up character. A TV personality. Even if he did win, anyone thinking he's going to uphold any sort of conservative measures is going to be sorely disappointed.

Donald Trump has been a Democrat his entire life. His entire candidacy has either been an effort to sabotage the Republican Party, to further his corporate brand, or a mixture of both. That's what makes people supporting him hilarious.

He is simply the best chance at getting a conservative scotus pick right out of the gate. I actually like Trump b/c I believe he is socially liberal and fiscally conservative like myself. I think he has done what he has done to do what he does in a liberal place like NYC. I think his ego would serve our national pocket book better than a crook/liar or socialist. Still would rather it be my boy Rand up there tbh

You can't truly not understand why almost every entity that is massive and does many transactions has declared bankrupcy multiple times. I personally know many persons that strategically Use financial laws. I don't love it but I understand it. If this were a valid area to attack trump I would be on board. The dude is a draft dodging silver spoon punk with a lack of eleoquence of that makes me want to drive spikes in my ears.

lol no I simply think our best chance of averting a radical SCOTUS is with a republican elected.
you honestly believe merrick garland would be a 'radical' justice?

I think his ego would serve our national pocket book better than a crook/liar or socialist.
lol. you are delusional. trump is a liar's liar. your thinking seems very muddled, droppers.

just s well he's not looking to manage the u.s. government, a massive entity that does many transactions. oh wait. never mind.

I actually couldn't give a fuck about merrick garland. Total pussy move by obama as usual.

i don't think it's a pussy move at all. i think it's a perfectly smart move that creates a problem for republicans.

of course, i want to see evelyn baker lang on the bench but it'll never happen for real :)

merrick garland was on the verge of tears the entire time he was in the rose garden and he would of votes for the DC gun ban. That is all I need to know alasdair
do you mean "he would have voted"?

you have no way to know that. indeed, seems you are your man bill o'reilly are just making shit up again: Bill O'Reilly wrongly says Merrick Garland voted to ban citizens from having guns in DC
It’s not fair to conclude that Garland supported the Washington gun regulations because he wanted to reconsider the case, as he did not take a formal position on the merits of the case. Rehearing a case en banc is generally used when a case goes against precedent or presents a question of significant importance, and that was true of the Heller case.

D.C. Circuit Judge A. Raymond Randolph, a well-known conservative, joined Garland in voting to reconsider the case. And the Bush administration, though supportive of the notion that the Second Amendment protects individual rights, filed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court asking them to send Heller back to the lower courts for consideration, noted Adam Winkler, a Second Amendment law expert at the University of California Los Angeles Law School.

"Garland voted for his court to consider the constitutionality of D.C.'s law," Winkler said. "Such a vote does not tell us one way or another how Garland feels about the Second Amendment."
