Marijuana vs. Opiates

Today I was wondering which one gives me the better high and in my opinion it is Opiates by far. What do you guys prefer?
 
I can see what you mean by comparing the 2 but still different highs. I must admit after smoking spliff after spliff after bong after vape etc, I never seem to get any higher then a certain point. With opiates I love to build to that nod almost to the point where I'm probably not sure if I'm going to wake up or not :/ haha anybody else bin there on an opiate binge or that just me ? I know it's harm reduction but sometimes I can control my actions. I don't condone my use even tho I set out to be sensible sometimes.
 
Opiates give a better high(for me). Weed is nice at the end of a long work day at night to relax for me, and can get me quite high, but smoking alot just makes me lazy, anxious, self-concious. Like to have it as a treat at the end of the day(when I can anyway). It goes good with all other drugs for me though. With opiates it seems to increase the high if a small amount is smoked, a large amount smoked results in a nod for me. It goes good with benzos, I will not smoke it around people unless I have a couple benzos with it. And with amphetimins it's nice for the comedown, or durimg the high it seems to make me more speedy in a good way which is odd...Really I don't like weed by itself unluss it's at the end of the day and I'm just chillin' by myself.
 
Opiates are a better high overall but are much more "hedonistic" (some hard drug users I know can't even handle smoking weed anymore because they get anxiety and reminds them of how hard they've fucked up in life, LOL...whereas with opiates you just dose and feel good, every single time) & come with more consequences than weed. Weed can challenge the user a little bit, while opiates are just a lazy way to nod out in a blissful fog and forget. Overall I'd rate cannabis as the better drug, personally...I've smoked weed for about 10 years and I never plan on quitting, in fact I'd say that cannabis has contributed positively to my life. I've used opiates (mostly heroin) for the past couple years and it's made my life worse overall, by my own estimation. I never get withdrawal symptoms from cannabis use...I can chief down for years on end, quit cold turkey and have 0 consequences for myself (and in fact I did this when I went on probation). Try that with years of recreational opiate use...

But the real answer here is opiates AND cannabis, of course...preferably the rawest H and the stickiest chronic you can find. Weed and opiates possibly have the best drug synergy of any combination, IMO.
 
^Quite. I've never really derived much recreational value from cannabis alone truth be told. However recently, in combination with opiates, I've begun to appreciate it much more. Dat synergy.
 
Like someone else said, there 2 different highs. at least for me the rare times i do opiates it just shuts down my mind and leaves me laying on my couch feeling relaxed and good. Weed makes me think more and challanges my mind to find answers for myself in life. if that makes sense.
 
Very different. To me marihuana feels somewhat mildly psychedelic-like, while opiates are purely euphoric & sedative.

I prefer the opiate high on its own to the marihuana high on its own. But when the two are combined (preferably with a benzo on top), benzopihuana babies are made in my brain. ;)
 
depends what you wants to do:

get basic things done around the house, more responsible things, etc - opiates.

listen to music, art, etc, maybe a movie - weed

for me, its always opiates but I am just trying to give weed the benefit of the double here nad there.
 
Marijuana makes me think too much, which can be a good thing when I'm alone sometimes, and I do believe can be a great tool for creative inspiration. But, as far as recreational value goes, I much prefer opiates.

great person who is an artist.

NOT a great person who has many PROBLEMS IN HIS LIFE and has ISSUES OF HIS OWN; starts thinking too hard and the hearts starts to race and race and then you need OTHER DRUGS to calm that heart down on top of the marijuana.

I think I understand what you mean. But I'm not sure this is true in all cases. I think sometimes it has more to do with circumstances. I mean sometimes marijuana can be very beneficial for my thinking process in terms of creating something or processing new thoughts, but other times I'll just overthink situations to a point of anxiousness. I think, personally, it may also depend on whether the strain in sativa or indica.
 
To be honest, I prefer to use them together. very good mix and synergy, even a bit of potentation esp. in the head high

I do however wish I could derive more from cannabis alone, but in that regard, opiates reign supreme. If I'm going to be using something regularly, or 'functionally', I like to remain clear headed. The effect marijuana has on cognition is a downside for me.
Also, even though many attest today's weed to be superior, I find that these super powered strains aren't to be underestimated. There's a smaller margin for error; as in choofing away mindlessly could easily lead to undesirable effects, at least without much of a tolerance.
Now, pack me a bowl at night with some smack and that's where I appreciate weed. A good nod-booster.

Hands down Opiates and i'll explain why...
For me a simple toke of a joint or bong causes me to have a mini drug induced psychosis , i feel paranoid and like the roof over is going to fall in on me. So much so that if i am in a room with other people and i smoke some weed i immediately need to leave the room and go lie in bed with my head spinning until i can fall asleep. As you can probably guess i am schizo and weed causes me all the things you read about weed can cause in the worst case scenario. Opiates just make me high and i can handle the buzz no problem. I must say when i smoke a bit of heroin or take some oxycodone tablets i get really smug but resentful at the same time. I'm lucky as never had a opiate habit so can't imagine what withdrawals are like. As far as i'm concerned both weed and opiates are overrated compared to smoking 2 points of crystal meth, now that's one hell of a buzz. But yeah i get that most normal drug users can have weed or heroin and sleep it off but IMO that's half the reason it so easy to get strung out either drugs.
