Moved from Homeless.

I thought this section would give you some better replies than other drugs

Suboxone has a very long protracted withdrawal. It takes nearly three to four weeks to feel physically well, and quite a lot longer to be mentally well. There are some things you can do to speed the process.

1.)exercise. This is very important.
2.)eat a decent, balanced diet. I know its hard to eat, but you may need to force yourself.
3.)take certain supplements that will help speed your recovery. l-theanine, l-tyrosine, full spectrum multivitamin, and B complex vitamins will help make you feel better.

Manboychef thanks for the advice already taking vitamins and klonopin for anxiety although it's not working for anyone wondering I'm on 1mg twice a day klonopin exercise is impossible with my heart rate and blood pressure so I may as well wait it out

You got another 7-10 days of physical withdrawal left. But you are experiencing the worst of it right now. Hang in there as it will end eventually

Thanks crimsonsjunk i need support my family thinks I'm crazy and making it up I guess I can't change their minds but I definlately proved my point by not sleeping or sneezing etc.

How long were you on Suboxone for? Any heroin/hard opiate use prior to your history with Suboxone?

It's quite hard for a layman (someone who doesn't understand pharmacology) to comprehend what you're going through. It sounds magical/mythical to someone who doesn't understand the concrete reality behind drugs.

I hope your family is supportive, best of luck <3

I was on 18mg of suboxone for a year and half my insurance cut me off I'm poor as hell used to snort 3 bags of heroin a day and take 2 30mg percs when I couldn't cop heroin. The doctor had me taper off too fast he had me taper for a month I heard that it takes months to taper but yea the klonopin helps anxiety wise. Thanks for the luck captain heroin.

Last time I did opiates was I drank a whole bottle of codeine and took 30mg Vicodin sepertaley of course that was a year and half ago.

Thanks for the best lone deranger I don't plan on getting on gear but I'm getting back on vyvanse for ADD that takes carvings away for me nd help me focus I'm looking for a job because I'm broke as hell even if I wanted gear I would have to steal or commit crimes I'm done with the lifestyle this time I'm choosing life.

I know the feeling mate.
That's where our addiction leads us, right back to jail for the most part.
I currently don't have much money to afford anything but I know I can do one little hustle and I can score a few hundred bucks,
but it's not worth getting caught and having another felony.
Just keep doing what you're doing.
You got this mate.
Much love.

Yea I'm doing alright I still have insomnia but I'm opiate free and suboxone free I'm still having some bad days but I'm getting used to them one thing I noticed is I consume a lot of caffeine now that I'm opiate free but a caffeine habit is ten times better than a junk habit I don't miss being dopesick at all. Anyway that's all for now thanks for reading and helping me cope through this all of you guys.

You're taking it like a champ Towelie420, congratulations! Keep up with the good work, i´m proud of you!! Do you went cold turkey from 18 mg of suboxone? that's a lot of mg to just stop taking it.. or did you taper first? im just curious because i want to stop my subutex addiction...

I tapered too fast I was told on a forum for suboxone addiction that it takes months to a year to taper off wish you the best of luck getting off it it's not going to be easy but worth it in the long run.

I done it but didnt really have anything in place so all i was thinking about was how many days it has been!

i came from 24mg to 2mg a fortnight! and off! for the first week of i felt and had WDs being constant! wanting to jump out my skin and defo not much sleep! head zaps were a big 1 also!

But sadly i done i and lasted about a month only to relapse (on suboxone) and go back on it! so i actually went through it all only to go back onm them!

For people in recovery i have massive amounts respect! all i can say is fill your time with positive people and postive things! that dont involve drugs! i do know alot of people thats done it and doing it it can be done! also trey not to read to much online or you can end up thinking you have what you dont!

Peace*

Just dont give in! 2 weeks is amazing! it will pass! it did with me! just my mistake was not having anything in place! like a course or evan community rehab/meetings anything positive! do you have anything in place if you dont mind me asking?

I have a therapist who I see every 2 weeks my doctor wants me to see him every 2 weeks because of the risk of relapse hope that answers your question.
