Is the prodrug thing still in question? I saw Nichols noting that it definitely is one, and the human serum study backed that up. Only thing they haven't tested is actually in vivo, but it seems like there shouldn't be any ambiguity about it at this point. Also on a personal note I can't tell the difference between 1P and L at all, although that's just a personal anecdote, not real data.
Hi. As far as I'm concerned, it was never in doubt (the pro drug theory). Nichols is though, a molecular pharmacologist and not a molecular biologist so to me it isn't surprising that it took a while for him to come around to that viewpoint. I don't think he's too convinced about 1P being able to cross the BB barrier though, which is still something I believe happens (or can happen in some individuals).
Here's the odd thing Viv; having never tried LSD I can't tell you how similar it is (or isn't). All I can say is it's a world of difference for me from LSZ, mushrooms, 4-AcO-DMT and 4-HO-DiPT; this being the only hallucinogens I've tried. I also tried AL-LAD sugar cubes, but I'm pretty sure I screwed up the preparation on those
