About two drop a blotter of 1p-lsd and one of ALD-52, then go lie in bed.

Should be decent, last time I did two of the ALD-52 and it was one of the best trips of my life, excellent visuals, good vibes.

Just plugged 2 mgs of buprenorphine(Im on a script now) so I should be relaxed throughout.

We're so lucky to have so many high quality psychedelics available.

Take care guys, I know I haven't been around much lately

Howdy MK, good to see you about again. njoy the trip

I'm really concerned about this bill cause of friends like MDB who is addicted to rc benzos (I really must E-mail him as I haven't in awhile n check on him. It probably annoys him but I just worry avout him n others who are on lots of these substances n knowing myself how difficult, mentally, it's been for me trying to come off suboxone i can't begin to imagine what this is like, with the worry of seizers n so on. I'm coming up to three years tapering subs its been very rocky to the least - these people have a matter of months. I can't begin to imagine what that's gna do to someone's psychological wellbeing.

I don't think the powers that be have thought this through at all. Our NHS is bursting under the pressure of government cuts, waiting times (I wish I was working in the LHB now would be fascinating to see how they're dealing with primary care on a local basis kinda miss watching discussions im different levels of hierarchy) what the hell is this Bill going to do? Appointments will go up in GP surgeries as people try to get on scripts, DPSs n the the waiting time to get into drug n alcohol can take six minths.

The doctor I saw was a psychiatrist who covered the whole of North Wales n is one of the best so my waiting time would have been three months on my old key worker (miss her heaps she is a CBT therapist she helped me a lot with how I interact on these forums believe it or not i showed her some msgs i was receiving n she was horrified she was trying to get me to limit my time on here but she is doing CBT now :( ) got me to see him in a few days as she was concerned about paracetamol toxicity so I got put on suboxone 23 May 2013.

My point is that it's not easy to get into addiction clinics currently. The addiction systems need updating. I do not like the fact that people who work lots have difficulty getting onto Maintenance scripts (I have to laugh here cause I talk to Sadie a fair bit on the phone n I was explaining this once hiw it differs to America, forgetting that she's American n she explained that, while their system differs tomours for subs it diffs between states. Duh how can I talk to someone with American accent n forget they're American? Lol) anyway where was I? Ywa maintenance scripts are a nightmare if you're working (FUBAE I think you were working on script?) because to begin with, you go for daily supervision at THE SAME PHARMACY. Hopefully you can all see whete I'm going with this? Yes you guessed it if you work long hours or travel this is IMPOSSIBLE unless you've some magic powers we don't know about. Daily supervision goes on fot AT LEAST a few months n if you fuck up ie test dirty ut can be AGES!!!!!! After this yiu go to three times weekly then two then eventually weekly pick up. I don't think ppl are allowed ti pick up the script for ypu as they're termed controlled drugs (CD) but hopefully FUBAR can answer this. Personally no one n I mean no one picks up my subbies but me. Where I'm going with this is that people like MDB work. MDB sorry to keep mentioning you.

I really feel that they should leave bemzos out of this bill as a tenporary meassure n find a wau of help addicts taper off these substances, taking into account not only the physically sjeer dangers of seizers and or even death but the psychological affect that this will have. We had a GP here not long back (it would be interesting to find the thread n link it here) who stated that it was important to go at a patient's pace when they're tapering benzos; never to force them. Come to think on it (I must take a look myself) he stated that it's written in the NICE (nationak institute of clinical excellence) guidelines that a patient must not be forced to taper benzos before they're ready.

So my questions for discussion (feel free to make anothet thread / transfer to an existing thread or whatever) are this;

In looking at tgr NICE guidelines for presxribed benzod, what should be happening to help people currently dependent on RC benzos? Shoukd this new bill acknowkedge the dangers of cold turkeying / rapid tapering of RC benzos n deal with thus drug frouondifferently to that of say, stimulanta? How is this bill helping to keep people safe including those currebtly dependent? Is this bikk just going to ruin lives of those currently addicted ti RC benzos in that some may look to illegal benzos n thus risj getting themselves a criminal record, get into dangerous situations that they are not used to (especially if they've only ever bought substances online n know nothing about approaching dealers etc.

The most important question of all

Is this bill going to dommore harm than good in terns of thise current dependent on / addicted to RC benzos?

Sorry for going on. I've a close friend on here in this situation n I really don't want to lose him or owr bas happen.

Tapering can be very difficult for some. You must take each person on their own personal issues and basis. You cannot simply stamp them all the same. Extenuating circumstances and all that.... No one is cut from the same cloth.

- I don't cook or bake but I'm gonna start. What website would be advisable for a novice with quite plain tastes looking to get recipes?
I mean I'm just talking things like chicken n leek pies, burritos, lasagne etc etc. Or would it be because I'm just planning on the basic remedies that any aul recipes do?
i've always like nigel slater for that kind of thing:

-Would you rather fight 1 horse sized duck or 100 duck sized horses?
tough choice. the latter i think, but both are comical images.
-What's your favourite book?
and the ass saw the angel by nick cave (yes, that nick cave).

yeah nigel slater is good, his series 'eating with other people' was really nice and down to earth. Hugh fernleagh whittingstall is good for recipes too.

after 8 years living in south lake tahoe, ca, i now live about 90 minutes from there. i worked at heavenly mountain for 8 years so i mostly ride there:

Nice :)
My sis lives in aspen/snowmass, she's been doing the ski school thing for years. Very beautiful part of the world.
I'm jealous, as it's unbearably muggy where i am at the moment. But, of course the grass is always greener and all that.
Those slopes look pretty inviting though, i gotta say.

Speaking of Nick Cave novels; have you read the Death of Bunny Munroe?
I've been meaning to read And the Ass saw the Angel for a while now.

I am currently reading The Wasp Factory by Iain banks and think it's pretty good! Quite like the writing style. Next on the list is A Drink with Shane Macgowen. Had been looking for something to amuse me during the commute back and forth to work so reading is becoming an interest again!

Would like to get my hands on Alan Carrs quitting smoking book because it helped when I quit last time and I really need to quit again when I come back from my wee holiday!

Is the Shane McGowan book autobiography or bio?
I fucking love him. Such an underrated musical gift he has.
He's a genius musician, which gets so overlooked by his fondness for debauchery and excess.
A funny bastard as well.

Bio! My boyfriend gave it to me when he caught me looking for books to read the other night and he thought id like it! Quite looking forward to reading it because he said it's pretty good.

He's a very interesting character, brilliant songwriter/lyricist, and i love his voice.
I'm also a sucker for his pre-pogues band "the nipple erectors" or "the nips" for short (and bbc reasons...).
Love the guy. People think he's an idiot - which he plays up to - but he's pretty fucking wise (in spite of the heinous abuse he's subjected himself to over the years...)
Sounds like a great read, i'll have to check it out.

I don't know if i have a favourite book. Jospeh Heller's Catch-22 is up there.
I'm reading a book about Jonathan Richman at the moment.

Evening folks, Hope all are well?

I am fucking high as a kite, been a fun afternoon blasting my way through that bag of crack n h, nice treat! I plan on keeping it that way too! :p
