I went to one pharmacy recently that recorded my name (well... kind of - I gave them a name anyway (not Cheesus by the way)) when I bought co codamol. If they are doing that, presumably to see who is coming in too often, what type of time scale do you think they would consider too frequent (based on anyone's experience)? I know it says do not take for more than 3 days in a row. Mathematically you could abide by their instructions and buy them again within less than a week but I am pretty sure pharmacies do not like that.

I have never been refused co codamol but I have purchased this stuff before from various places.

No experience with them recording names, though whenever I've gone in I leave it a week or two and never had anyone say anything.

I've never heard of that one before. I know counter staff are supposed to stress that it's not for more than 3 days use and not to use other paracetamol products at the same time but never heard of them taking your name before.... Im fairly sure it's an individual pharmacies policy as oppose to a general law though.... In most towns there are loads of different pharmacies so it would probably be best just to go to a different one rather than keep using the same one...

No pharmacies were named nor referred to. Naming a specific pharm is against the rules. Keep this generic and all is good in the hood. ( yeah, I just said good in the hood )

So far, we cool.

I'm bot answering this as not sure whether or not its against the rules. If I was you I'd E-mail a mod with this link
N ask ig this question is ok to ask or not. Sorry I can't be of any further help.

I was careful to keep it generic. I am not implying that I am doing anything that is questionable.

I have been to a number of pharmacies and this is the first time this has happened. It does seem very rare but I was seeing if anyone had had the same experience. I have never been refused - I have only had people imply that one is not supposed to purchase it on a regular basis. I am yet to find out what that "regular basis" is though. It seems to vary.

Sorry wasn't trying to be funny just wanted to check is owt. I think in other.counteies pharmacies keep record. I don't think it's a nationsl thing but more for peace of mind as I think pharmacists can get in trouble if they're found selling to people too often or not taking care to protect their customers. Mystery shopers visit pharmacies so to them you could be a customer or someone checkinh then out so thry need to make sure they're take proper precaustions in ensure customer-safety n safety of their own pharmacy. That's just my opinion though I could be completely wrong.

I always made sure to learn the shift patterns and lunch breaks of the staff (OTC Junkiedom is still Junkiedom) so that I could avoid being recognised as a frequent customer - only had my name taken once and that was due to going twice in a week.

I wouldn't go more than once a fortnight to any individual store.

Being a former codeine addict taking 900+ daily, I've lots of tricks but I wouldn't feel right disclosing them. I wouldn'r feel right if I help contributed to someone's addiction n there are a lot of lurkers that may be addicts. I can imagine what pharmacy it was n honesty just think they are looking out for the customers n for themselves.

I guess you have a few wigs and stick-on beards and moustaches and stuff. I don't know if you are male or female. I guess a woman could put on a gruff voice but the chest might cause a bit of a problem. I have not used wigs yet. I don't do enough for that :)

Second gimme a mo to think of the wigs, hmmmmm I've 24 inch weave extensioms (which are looking more like witches hair through lack of looking after hehehe) so I guess you could call it a semi-wig as my natural hair is quite short hahaha i've a fair few hair growing out mt chin as haven't waxed / tweasered so yea that can be called a beaed hehehe :) yea my voice's quite rough / husky lol

And these stims must be affecting me more than I thought as I thought I was posting on another thread lol(I thought I was posting on my "world" thread lol).

Good day :D

Find places that sell codeine linctus, and save yourself a load of hassle. It's got 600mg of codeine in each bottle, and you don't need to do any extractions. As a former codeine addict, I'll just warn you that codeine addiction can be pretty fucking nasty, so don't end up on two bottles a day, like I did!

Thank you... I probably won't be around that much but I may pop by sometimes.

I maybe would if I could find some but I use quite minimal amounts. Even with the amount I do (which is more of a habit than addiction) I tend to keep cutting back. The time it takes to mess around probably helps to keep to the amount I do. I have been addicted to something before - I don't intend to do that again.

Yeah I think the extraction definitely makes it kinda self limiting for some people.

yah like people who live with their parents or something.

I can picture myself doing a cwe in a parking lot really (and I don't own a car)

Never had a pharmacy take my name here in the UK, but as a general rule I avoid chains when I can. The big chain pharmacies have their own set of strict regulations the staff have to follow. Independent pharmacies are way less inclined to give a fuck if you go in every week to buy codeine linctus while the big chains don't even stock it. Some dodgy pharmacies have even been known to sell oral morphine and benzos over the counter but I've not been brave enough to try that myself.
