I've never been a great fan of booze, but as I get older and my contacts for illicit substances diminish, my reliance upon it has grown (and so has my appreciation).

Anyway, it has struck me how different formulations and concentrations of alcohol have parallels with different drugs (and blows the old 'MDMA is MDMA' argument out of the water, because 'ethanol is NOT just ethanol).

Beer - I find beer analogous to a good buzzy weed.

Wine - a dodgy hash, such as soapbar.

Fortified wines like Sherry and port - a decent hash like gold seal black.

Spirits - these run the range from stimulant to psychedelic. If I feel too fucked from a fortified wine, a few shots of spirits give me that stimulant push required.

The subtleties are many, but I feel that alcohol really can traverse the whole spectrum of drug experience...

Cider can also be a nice laid back drink, like the beer in terms of enjoyment/effect but different all the same.

The rest except cider and beer do me no good whatsoever. Agree with the range of effects from spirits, it can be almost positive charged psychedelic mindset - benzo blackout within the space of a few drinks.

Booze has always been booze to me, I find the only difference in experience is because you're drinking too much liquid to reach the effect level, or just sugar-sick from the sweetness, but in terms of the alcohol itself it all feels about the same. That said, I will always have fond memories of jaegerbombs for that perfect mix of sugar, caffeine and booze, with the added bonus that you can tell how ill you are because they only taste good when you're well, being ill brings out the jaeger flavour too much.

when I'm out of goodies its always valium and wine for me...ye I know bad HR but I know MY limits. I can only really get drunk on spirits 2bottles of wine and im 'normal' 1/2 a bottle of scotch and im trouble.

Since giving up all gear I have become a complete pisshead.
1 alcohol free day in months and they've all been the same: angry and uninhibited.

Booze all feels similar to me, until i start mixing drinks. Used to drink a lot of vodka and pint combos, now just cider. although when im out i end up hammering back all sorts of shit

Ace thread, FUBZY. Something to ponder as not touching some of them substances I'd not know.

I think alcohol sucks anywsy; makes me a depressing, self-pitying bore lol. Give me 3-fpm anyway. I'm on day 3 free n feeling nice n mellow. I find that alcohol has me mellowy for an hour but it's destructive n not good for the soul

Oh hahahaha she says as she bought a £16 bottle of baileys lol). Booze n 3-fpm don't seem to go tho as booze, for me, seems to cancel out its affects n I have to re-dose from it.

Truth.

Not a big fan, but for me..

Cider - Buzzy and 'jolly' Big Buddha Cheese comes to mind
Beer - More drowsy and sedating like a good indica

Vodka - Stimulating in a weird way.. kinda sloppy at the same time
Whiskey - Numbing, almost dissociative.. for drowning sorrows :\

Cognac/Armagnac - For slow sipping, contemplating.. mm.. Caramello hash

Wines.. banging headache steer clear

Cider is nice tastes good and doesn't make me all tight-chested and gassy like beer if I have a few. Still, blended whiskey is where it's at. Don't get full, no hangover as long as I keep hydrated, normally don't get too unhinged, unlike mixed drinks.

Drink isn't my thing unless i've stim. Would never keep booze in the house, keep hot chocolate, juices, tea/coffee etc

I cross the road an I'm at the MACE, 20 more sec there's 2 bars - every single day same 3/4 aul boys- rain, sleet, shine, 80mph winds- every chance of em being outside smoking - everyday. 7 days. They look fucked, but this is a fucked town, everyone looks a bit fucked round here an everyone is addicted to benzos (35%)

Drink 75% of the time turns me into an asshole.

25% improvement no bad

Not really a great shocker to say that I like a drink :D

My mains are beers during the daytime - couple give me a really nice mellow buzz

Vodka is my go to when I fancy a drink can range to the one to the bottle and depending on the situation can be pretty stimmy, then trippy, then dissociative

Wine - not something I drink a lot of the time as it effects me in strange ways which is best saved for a home setting :D

Bear

As a conniseur of saffrole MDA, MDEA and MDMA( in that order) 93-95 this is champagne compared to todays PMK lambrini. Caphrinha 51, Smirnoff Black labeL and original 5.2% stella:

The Black Label is that the Copper Distilled one? It is a nice drink but I can only have the one or two (probably a good thing).

Stolichnaya is a nice vodka but the best I've had recently was the Beluga , pricey but really nice.

No prizes for guessing why i bought this beer. Its beer with a hint of Balsamic vinegar
