LSD is DOC in the uk?

Hello everyone, not been around these here parts in a while...

Recently, a friend of mine sent a sample of LSD to Energy Control, the Spanish drug testing service, as he wanted know exactly what he was imbibing. http://energycontrol.org

It was a blotter, with the classic Hofmann bicycle print. Even had LSD molecule printed on the reverse. The sample, under analysis, turned out to be 1.86mg of DOC.

Subsequently, other blotters (Shiva print) and microdots were tested at home using EZ test Ehrlichs & Marquis reagents and showed negative for tryptamines and positive (green) for DOx/2C-x.

Subjective reports also mentioned that the blotters were bitter to the taste.

I'm wondering just how much of the alleged "LSD" in the UK is in fact DOC/DOx? Anecdotal reports suggest that many people who took these tabs enjoyed them and didn't question whether they were LSD or not. At low doses, I personally would find LSD and DOC quite hard to tell apart - with the one distinguishing feature being the time course - DOC comes on much slower and lasts longer, taking 2-3 hours to peak and duration of 15-20 hours.

Anyone else have comments - or regularly test their LSD? Reading the news reports of the inquest into Nick Cave's son's death, where they mentioned the "bitter taste" spurred me to consider that this might be a countrywide issue.
 
I always thought most of the impure LSD available here was an NBOMe compound given they were massively available here compared to DOx compounds which have been illegal for a while.
The bitter taste would seem to agree.

I've had DOI and DOM, a few times. DOM is very pleasant, whereas DOI is chaotic, extremely long-lasting (24-36 hours), but ultimately still a lot of fun. I've not had DOC, but I highly doubt that fake acid tabs are a DOx compound. They're much more likely to be a drug of the NBOMe class, or 1P-LSD.

These were lab tested with GC/MS and LC/MS by a highly reputable lab. They were definitely DOC.
 
Whilst I'd obviously infinitely prefer to be buying Lysergic Acid Diethyamide when I plump for whatever is sold as "Acid", I'd be happier to receive a DOx than an NBOMe.

The last trips I took were european sacred geometry tabs. About twice the size of a normal tab. Supposedly 150ug of Swiss bliss.
They were strong, but gave me vasoconstriction, my feet were freezing cold. I've never had this side effect from LSD. The comedown was pretty harsh and left me feeling cracked out and depressed.
They didn't taste bitter and were very active orally without leaving them under my tongue so that kind of rules out a DOX or nBome
Overall pretty shit though.

Usually good acid gives me a nice afterglow and leaves me feeling very refreshed the next day, almost like my entire body and mind has been rebooted if this makes any sense.
 
DOC as an L-alike today is indeed surprising; you'd almost certainly expect a bomamine. A lot of people like DOC but wouldn't like it to be substituted for LSD, but it could find a market on it's own and is definitely harder to source than bomamines.

Using the Hofmann print is really quite disrespectful but it's not the first time it's been done. Even very early on with that print some of them were questionable.

Nope, it was just strongly dosed acid and then once the announcement was made it made for a bad expectation if people had already taken it.

You're probably thinking of Owsley's "STP" which was high dose DOM and caused quite a lot of people to lose their shit.

Also DOM won't fit on blotter. DOC and DOI will.
 
Nothing says Serenity, Tranquility, Peace like a bunch of hippies tripping too hard around other hippies who think it best not to interfere as LSD is virtually impossible to OD on, whereas DOx are very easy to.

DOC has been cheap and easy to get hold of from the EU for years. I'm frankly amazed there isn't more of it being passed off as LSD. Been meaning to buy some myself for a while now (powder not tabs) but would be pissed off if sold it as anything other than what it actually is. False advertising is a dick move of the lowest order :|

It was just acid -maybe a bit stronger dose. Someone who took it was Levon Helm from "The Band". He describes it in the documentary about him. "Fortunately I had me some of that brown acid. They didn't want anybody taking that (laughter). Yeah good idea, don't take it bring it backstage and I'll have it. You could see the dew reflecting off the grass in nice colours".

As for DOC being sold as acid - buy one blotter off a vendor on the darknet and check it out. If you're happy, buy some more. It really is as simple as that. I thought the days of handing over money to some random arsehole who'se going to rip you off for DOC were gone.

well oranange sunshine was around at 200ug at the time - but the brown acid debacle seems to have as many answers as there are/were mind altering droooogs. I ws told by dik mik from hawkwind who I use to shoot speed with.....yup im that old : ) and man he had some stories to tell he was a genius on keyboards could alter peoples brains with frequency changes
 
I'm always wary of false warnings about 'bad Acid', it seems common to make the biggest mistakes when using psychedelics; that any past experience is the exact experience.
Heading into the Lysergaverse (catchy, no?) with the preformed notion of 'Acid is positive, a negative experience means it isn't Acid' is just begging for a bad trip.

he could literally make people shit their pants playing around with subsonic frequencies or make them them high as kites - of course they started out as an acid dealing outfit that also played music, dik was crazy but increcdibly intelligence when it came to triddling knobs fnarfnar - they all use to drink in a pub on the portobellow rd with English bikes outside the pub and the jap bikes on the other side of te road...never the twain would meet.

Having been to a 'good ' school and been in the music biz I have quite a few tales tucked away - all true so no chance of being sued; )
