MPA now subject to TCDO

Wow, 4 days to write entire legislation, present it and bring it into force - legislation that states "The substances and products specified in article 2 are N-methyl-1-(thiophen-2-yl)propan-2-amine related materials which are being misused as new psychoactive substances" without any reference to clinical evidence of harm or potential as a pharmaceutical.

This is a ban for banning's sake.

Thanks, MODA, for prohibiting a compound that is generally well tolerated without a massive potential for addiction while Diphenidine continues to poison people.
All you have achieved is artificially skyrocketing demand alongside reducing the price.

I think it's a shitty drug anyway to be honest but I do feel bad for the people that enjoy it.

I know of many people who are gonna miss the shit out of it.
 
Hang on, a compound being an "NPS" isn't actually a crime until the Blanket Ban, and banning something literally because people get high on it is more than a little disingenuous to their own cause.

Funny thing is, MPA would have died out pretty soon anyway - it wouldn't be worth setting up a new synthesis that is not at all affected by China's precursor controls.

Probably not, MPA is a fantastic production aid, without much in the way of recreation.
It was an oddity among the rest of the market.

I presume the prevalence in Head Shop Sketchy Shite is behind it.

The 'giveaway sales' are not very impressive, ive just checked the prices against my last order and the price has actually gone up since i placed my 2nd order ever a few weeks ago. :!

I'm not a huge fan, it might grow on me though like eph has ever since that was banned.:\ And ive only recently had to make my 2nd mpa purchase, simply because of the eph ban, and the lack of alternatives. I wonder if everyone waits a few hours (there's only 27 hours left to buy it) if prices will be reduced further, otherwise they'll have a shitload of stock leftover. They probably have certain oversees vendors lined up to buy the remainder, certainly 'the major vendor' does not seem to be panic selling in the least. They clearly have a backup plan.

This isnt like the banning of 2nd gen noids when u could get 50g of pure powder (not blend) for a fiver or something like that i cant recall exactly but it was incredible value for a purchase that could last for many years, especially considering that i very very rarely use noids.. I'll wait a bit and see what happens to the mpa prices, the only decision really is how much to get. I'll check out alternative vendors too, see if they have any better bargain basement sales. I wish i had foreknowledge of how much im going to like or dislike 4F-MPH. If that turns out to be a relative winner i would only get a minimal amount of mpa.

MPA feels much better on the heart than eph, thats its main positive, as a stim its not very strong, (esp considering that its said to be a methamphetamine analogue) i can easily sleep with minimal benzos just a couple of hours after dosing. It feels like quite a dirty drug (in all meanings of the word), the drip is bad enough to make you heave if you snort too hard. It smells really bad too.

The lack of recreational effects compared to Meth sadly is paired with the likely presence of similar peripheral effects, including cardiac stress.
It may be better than EPD in that regard, in the same way I'd prefer to be shot than skewered....

you should have waited until tomorrow evey, i would expect the prices to come crashing down. I'll be at work until the evening though, so if the prices are slashed early and sales skyrocket and they sell out, i'll be the one wishing i'd bought today. Its a bit like shares or bitcoins, deciding when to hold off and when to buy. It could end up like e-bay auctions for popular / rare items but with hundreds of people waiting until the last minute to buy, hoping for further price reductions. The vendor could pull a sly trick and put prices up at the last minute as people may have already committed to buy, and be desperate by then, there's a bit of psychology behind all this. 8(

Obvious tip, but shop around folks, ive checked out 3 vendors, one vendor is already selling their MPA at more or less half the price of the others throughout the entire scale of quantities/weights. I used to get my eph from this vendor and it was their eph that actually turned me round to enjoying the stuff quite a lot more. It was subtly and indefinably nicer, much cheaper than other vendors too.

If the quality of their eph is anything to go by i think i will be getting my last legal MPA order from them as i do believe it will be nicer. They arent even mentioning the ban, perhaps they've been selling it this cheap for months, and their prices may drop even lower tomorrow. It Doesn't look like they are going to run out of stock as its possible to buy by the kilo. I got a "you've not logged in for 90 days" email off them recently. Which is fortunate, as i would have forgotten they exist otherwise.

You're overthinking it.
Seriously, enough people cashed in on the industry that you will not struggle to find MPA on the web.

Plus, the vendors fare much better when they aren't stuck in possession of now illegal compounds, along with an entire distribution network set up.

These people really don't do themselves any favours do they. It's no wonder their wares are becoming illegal when they're pulling cheap moves like that. No more legitimate than street dealers.

Don't mean to sound square, and of course what one puts into ones own body is nobodies business but theirs, but i am deeply concerned at what sort of state the legal/grey-legal rec. drugs market is in, and what it would be like with the traditional "harder" drugs legitimised. Suppose it's like anything though, from crack n smack all the way to pizza; it's up to consumers to use their heads to make informed decisions. Those decisions are often influenced however by the immoral decisions of drug dealers/vendors, or pizza shops, or whatever.
 
It's long been my view that the RC industry could have been an absolutely brilliant thing on every conceivable level, but only if performed correctly.
Instead simple human greed, ignorance and pleasure morphed into this global beast that has killed and injured countless.
