Not one of my biggest sports to watch but I'm keen to get into it. I like how there are so many games on a single day, is always good for parlays and bettin' in general (will take a bit to get used to calling em that - parlays, we just call em multi's here).

Tonight I'm going with a parlay of favorites to just straight up win.

Fun parlay (we call em multis here) for today, got 4.10(or 4.10/1 to the nabs) , worth the small punt I'm having to help me get into it , having a dog in the ring always helps.

lol. My advice, don't bet on sports you know nothing about. I mean I see you betting on horses, American soccer, and now NBA. I'm going to guess you aren't making profit on any of the 3

This can be merged, because I'm pretty sure I'm the only one on this forum that bets on basketball. Having its own thread seems pointless

And tbh I don't even want to read what you put up cause im assuming you don't know anything about basketball or how to bet on it lol
 
Arci I'm very much in profit with horses and (tto a lessor extent) soccer have had a killer last 2 weeks , a killer month in fact.

You clearly are very new to betting to with the views you have, someone doesn't have to be an aficionado in the sport to make money punting it. To make money betting a sport one has to be good at researching, reading betting markets, and bankroll/money management these principles apply universally.... Alternatively you can even copy a bettor more knowledgeable in the sport in question or follow the money.

When you have been betting for longer you'll see this. It's pretty obvious you are new to the world of sports betting.

My parlay tonight (have taken cover too - you probably don't even know what that is Arci) but have gone light because like I stated above these are fun bets - my bread and butter in betting is horses (and sometimes soccer).

I mis-clicked the amount so am in it for more than I meant to be (just fun bets, not extensively researched), this small error is part of why I getting so pissed off by your lil 3 line post , it isn't even 5% of my profit today (this basketball bet) but it's more than I wanted to spend.

I can show you my statement for my online betting account this month and months before it and it shows healthy profit, and that's just online... Can you do the same ? If not then you should really be more modest with your opinions re betting.

ArCi is right though. I am only +EV in baseball because I am a huge baseball nerd. Betting on all other sports is pretty much recreational for me though I aspire to break even or a little better in NFL. Don't bet basketball and hockey, cause I know fuckall, otherwise just some international futbol, some horses ...
 
i bet NBA sometimes for fun. however, you don't even need to watch the games to be a profitable in sports betting. sure it helps but not needed at all.
any bet / tip can loose.

You need a strict bankroll management system and a LARGE sample size of bets

Sure good tips help but it don't matter who you are. if you don't know how to bet-amount you will loose.


Whigga is very good with his horse picks, gave me two blowout winners last night. i should repay u back with two soccer blowouts on Sunday
 
i really wanna get into betting American sports.been starting (for fun) with american football
I have heard that baseball is one of the most profitable? but i guess it is different for everyone.

but yah so many NBA games, ice hockey too and baseball games

soccer is just my go to tbh, youd be surprised how popular it is / how many games are on world wide
 
The best ways i can think to win sometimes are to find systems that win based on a % of something happening, thats how i normally make my money
Like ive said before i do very well im combat sports
I know nothing about horses but i had a guy who used to give me horses but he died

the founder of BL also bet on horses; he was a bajillionaire basically. technically, I suppose, this website was and paid for by our benefactor's insanely skilled horse race betting. Alan was apparently decades more advanced than anyone before him; he developed systems that totally altered the history of horse racing...

despite this occurring in the pre-dawn era of the internet - I do believe he was one of the 1st to integrate said systems with computers. Alan was a helluva man - no one believed his Asian hooker exploits until we launched the BL Photo Gallery. you never quite ever forget that 1st time you have seen a human pyramid of Thai hookers ;)

odds are nice for Holly, i just can't see her lasting two rounds. Ronda Rousey is guna punish her. neva been this amped for a female fight before tbh

Aldo is a very live dog, people are taking him for granted because the connor hype train is so big, im pretty confident he could just take him down and ground him out if he wanted to but i dont know if hes going to do that

As far as holm, he stand up and movement are worlds ahead of rousey right now, if she can somehow avoid being taken down she will win. If she can keep the fight boring move and work the jab she can win.
If she does lose and has the time to work on her ground game she will eventually beat her down the road. She also has a great camp in greg jackson so im sure she will be ready for her and I think she also has the strengh advantage which help with the takedown defense seeing as rousey hasnt been so technical in her takedowns shes just been bulldogging the girls shes fought reently
