Adderall... Are these side effects worthy of concern?

Hey, I'm just wondering if these effects are normal for using 90mg daily for no more than 2 weeks

I have been experiencing on-and-off headaches, neck pain on the right side, difficulty getting a "deep" breath, and very brief, occasional chest sensations on the left side. Also, my hands and feet get very cold and clammy. None of these are what I would classify as extremely painful, they are all bearable. But they do have me concerned, mainly the neck pain which almost feels like internal swelling.

Thanks a bunch guys

First, the recommended daily dosage is 60mg maximum. Those side effects are not normal. They are reasons to contact your doctor. I'd cease usage and see a doctor now. Past that, we cannot diagnose any problems you may be having. I highly suggest getting seen asap.

You're taking way too much daily and will either run out fast, or get burnt out from it.

I was prescribed Adderall/Dexedrine and while I did use it daily for ADD I never took more than 15mg orally and I would take it only once a day, would not usually take it on the weekends, did not take it when there was a break/holiday from school, and did not take it for months during the summer.

Yes, do contact your doctor about what's happening, and be honest to him or her about what's happening. In the mean time either stop taking the Adderall, or taper it down and take a low dose and then stop. How many mg were you originally prescribed?

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not sure if the side effects are severe though, that's the problem. I wake up the next day after about 5-8 hours of sleep feeling fine. Thoughts? I'm willing to hear criticism or agreement, open to any input.

The clear headed euphoria from 60mg is very pleasant, so I'm tempted to just keep my dose at 60 since 90mg is where the effects get more bothersome. I don't use for more than 2 weeks at a time and have never done an overnight binge.

I mean, aren't some level of negative side effects guaranteed at recreational dosages of adderall? Where do you draw the line between un worrisome, and worrisome side effects?

Yeah those are pretty normal at that high of a dose for 2 weeks. Standard over-stimulated side effects right there. The neck paint, head aches and trouble getting are mostly likely due to tense muscles and the other symptoms are side effects of vasoconstriction cause by the stimulants.

I am never taking Adderall ever again for the rest of my life. Period. Had a sudden, powerful tightness in my chest/ribs area on the left side along with a simultaneous severe headache. Lasted about 20 seconds, had to pull over and let the co pilot drive. Had unusual sensations on and off in the left chest region for the next few hours, which brings me to where I am now.

Panick attack? Hopefully. It felt so real, I wanted to go to the hospital but the co pilot discouraged it. It felt like a heart attack, I was in full on panic mode. I'm past the worst of it. I think this is just a panic attack.

What I learned from this is I hate amphetamines. The high is just too good, the tolerance builds so fast, and the health effects are not cool. Glad this happened honestly, unless I have a negative experience with a drug I enjoy, ain't nothing stopping me.

Lesson of the day: stick to herbs, and moderate opiate usage.

I'm done with Adderall.

Lesson of the day stick to reasonable usage of any drug. I have been taking adderall by prescription for 3 years now, I am still on the same dose I was when I started: 40mgs a day. I occationally take 60mgs on days when I need more but I always take 1 day off a week and make sure I eat and sleep. 90mgs daily is wayyyyy too much for daily usage.
