How do I succefully switch to a different benzo?

Well, I have been a benzo dependant individual for a while now, and was on 1.5mg Flubromazolam/a day and recently I got the opportunity to acquire a lot of Clonazepam for a a very low price, these are Rivotril branded 2mg ones. Despite the fact that I don't like Clonazepam, I thought I will give it a go for now.

My future plan is to switch to Diclazepam, and it's already on the way and will arrive next week. And here is what happened in the meantime:

I switched to 6mg Clonazepam/day from 1.5mg Flubromazolam/ day, and I did not wait until the WDs started, just switched right away at the same time, 9:00pm. I experienced quite a bit of twitching, petite-mal seizures and mild psychosis, despite 6mg of Clonazepam being equivalent to 1.5mg Flubromazolam. How and why did this happen, did I have to wait for the WDs first? I don't understand.

Now I am stabilising on 6mg Clonazepam, how do I switch to 12mg Diclazepam safely and succefully? Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Using for paranoia both day and night, but only long-acting benzos, xanax is short acting, and there's no point of me switching to it. I want to switch to the lowest price and longest half-life RC benzo, which is why I chose Diclazepam.

As a medical professional I would maybe consider an SSRT like prozac or better yet zoloft. But you know your body... I will say this tho... no benzo should be taken day in and day out they just won't work after so long ... and lol here's your tidbit of the day they made prozac and all that stuff bc benzos were stopping after years and years of use. .. it's no big deal there not just for depression ..actually did you know the active ingredient in zoloft is for anxiety and anti depression is a side effect. .

Saying Overall its the safest benzo , subjective. ...you know all things considered? What did you consider? This guy is on heavy doses ( compared to normal medicinal dosages). Wrong advice. If this person gets seizures at 6mg of Clonazepam, Replacing that with a short acting benzo would be much worse. Guy is switching from one RC benzodiazepine, to another RC benzodiazepine by route of a pharmaceutical benzo, whose dosage is very high already, yet not high enough to cover his tolerance. The only person qualified to say safe in this case is of course a doctor. Yes, Xanax is safe in studies with rats and other studies I cannot quote at all, but not here.

Anxious.Individual, you seem to be on the horns of a dilemma. It seems that your 1.5mg of Flubromazolam a day is stronger then 6mg of clonazepam. Here is some general info I gathered after looking at multiple sites. It seems Flubromazolam doses start at 250mcg or .25mg. People get smashed on a quarter of a mg. Diclazepam is said to be 10 times stronger then Valium. 1mg equals 10mg Valium in theory. 10mg Valium equals 1mg of Clonazepam. In theory, 1mg of Diclazepam equals 1mg Clonazepam. Now you know that is a rough estimate. It may be close or in the ballpark, but its not exact. According to https://wiki.tripsit.me/wiki/Benzodiazepines Flubromazolam .25mg roughly equals 10 mg of Valium. If this be true, then your 1.5 mg of Flubromazolam would equal 60 mg of Valium which equals 6 mg of Clonazepam, which equals 6mg of Diclazepam. The problem is, they all have somewhat different effects. For example, Clonazepam is used for seizures. So why did you get seizures if the dose is the same. I can spend hours comparing different theroys but there is the possibility that your dose of flubromazolam is higher then 1.5 mgs, or the chronic usage of flubromazolam some how builds up in your system. A word of harm reducing advice, benzodiazepine reduction should be done under a doctors supervision. My advice as a benzodiazepine user is strictly a suggestion. Compare all the facts of each benzo, such as how long it is active, half life, and the main effects of each benzodiazepine. Is it mainly a sedative, a hypnotic, muscle relaxer? If I can think of anything to add or suggest. I'll post back. Respect Benzodiazepines.

Clonazepam takes a long time to be active. IIRC over two hours to onset. This may have been your problem. If I was in your shoes OP I would try to switch to the benzo best suited to your needs, even though that may not be the cheapest.
