Jeremy Corbyn: A very old fashioned breath of fresh air?

It's absolutely fucking evil what they are doing to the NHS. This level of corruption starts to make berlusconis italy look like amatuers.

Oh fuck, Labour is losing them in droves. Look.

Norman Reginald Warner, Baron Warner, PC, has no longer said he can support the Labour Party. Not sure when his exact date of betrayal started because In April 2013, Lord Warner announced he would vote with the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats in a key vote in the House of Lords on proposed NHS regulations that Labour claimed would enable companies to bid for almost all health services. He was the only Labour peer to do so

and

In March 2014, Warner wrote an article for The Guardian newspaper suggesting that NHS users should pay £10 a month and £20 for every night in hospital.[15][16] Labour swiftly rejected these ideas. Shadow Health Minister, Jamie Reed, commented: "This is not something Labour would ever consider. We believe in an NHS free at the point of use, and a Labour government will repeal David Cameron's NHS changes that put private profit before patient care."

Further..Lord Warner is a director of Sage Advice Ltd, and an adviser to Xansa (a technology firm) and Byotrol (an antimicrobial company) - all of which sell or are hoping to sell services or products to the NHS, according to website Social Investigations.[18] He also took up a position with Apax Partners – one of the leading private equity investors in healthcare, according to the Alliance for Lobbying Transparency

Just saying like. Tragic loss to the working class.

Oh. The second one.

Lord Grabiner has become the second peer in recent days to resign the Labour whip in the Lords.

A spokesman also said Lord Grabiner had not voted in the Lords since 2013.

Another terrible loss.

In the meantime 10000's of ordinary working class people have signed up since Corbyns victory. Their importance is apparently lessened by their insistence on using car boot sales and giving money to invading 'coloured' people from Syria and the like. At least we think they are coloured, its so hard to tell these days isn't it?

And ah fuck it, in case my last line or the whole post wasn't subtle enough. These Lords are as far away from Chartism, Trade Unions and Aneurin Bevan as it is possible to get. But their dissatisfaction with Labour is given front page news on the impartial BBC website. Meanwhile, ordinary people joining in their droves are having their mental health questioned not to mention their 'understanding of democracy'.

Keep dining with the Saudi Royals and the Chinese dictators Cameron you scumbag.

Have you been to a hospital lately? The NHS is being propped up by a lot of people not born in this country. They deserve our thanks. The NHS is under strain because of cuts in pay, increases in hours, cuts in overtime, cuts in funding for training, cuts in funding for infrastructure, it has fuck all to do with how many people are in the country, and everything to do with how it is being carved up and set up to fail by a bunch of spivs who want their lobbyists in the private health provision sector to come in and get juicy contracts.

btw Do you think all these refugees are mudhut dwelling troglodytes or something? Syria has a large well educated middle class.

Just read SHM's post about Lord Warner. It strikes me people like this are the problem, and going by the expenses scandal it appears there are lots of them. As Ceres says the levels of corruption are frightening, when you think out of all these MP's supposed to be representing people how many appear to be only representing themselves.

It's a sad fact that the personality type required to become an MP is driven by purely selfish motives. The current democratic system favours self serving individuals with high levels of cuntishness and means that people with a genuine desire to represent 'the people' for the good of 'the people' don't even stand a chance of getting off the starting blocks. Unfortunately, this is probably the best system we've got and I can't see it being replaced by a fairer one until human nature improves significantly.

Even if we got an actual decent government in, these rich people with far right views would still be trying to sabotage things from behind the scenes non stop. In the police, press and I'm sure even in parliament people can be bought.
People think that Britain is above that or something, the truth is people become blinded by money and power. The expenses scandal proved that surely.

The truth is things won't change as long as people swallow the lies. Bluelight is a community of (for the most part) open minds. It doesn't reflect an accurate representation of the views of the general public. Until we see something similar to the modern equivalent of a French Revolution, people like Corbyn dont stand a chance. Not of accomplishing all they could, at various and aintervals the carpet will be pulled out from under them. Obama could have done much more as President but the right wing has all the money and influence, which has made it hard from him to pass new legislation.

Interesting that all the tax cuts begin now yet the minimum wage won't be raised until next year, and still won't meet the living wage. It seems our current government runs for one thing; profit.

They couldn't care less about people, communities, society, these fuckers seem to think because they won the election on a tiny majority they have the right to radically manipulate everything to the advantage of their donors and lobbyists, and of course their own personal enrichment. See all the redundancys in redcar, thousands of families screwed over, meanwhile osborne was in china securing a deal for the chinese steel industry amongst others to build their bullshit HS2 railyway here.

They like chinese minimum wage and working conditions, and in a global free market context, they are willing to do that rather than support domestic industry.

Getting slapped down by the lords over the tax credits was a start, osborne needs taken down a peg, its almost as if the cabinet is fuelled by cocaine and getting carried away with their ego trips.

We can only hope they tear themselves to pieces and by the time of the next election they will be utterly despised again.

Bunch of liars, con merchants and theives.

Funny you should say this. He was on the news the other night, I'd have sworn he had that twinkle in the eye of someone who's taken a stimulant. He's obviously got past form for it too, he's been a complete wreck in public several times. The thought of him as PM is like a distasteful joke.

thought it was quite disgusting that they flew lord andrew loyd webber from new york so he could vote on the tax credit cuts taking thousands of pounds out of millions of families pockets.

This government has been manipulating people for years. I said it would happen. Turning the workers n people on benefits against each other. It's the old divide n conquer trick. "Vote for us n we'll get um off benefits." Media propaganda etc. Now the workers are on their knees AND THEY STILL DO NOT SEE IT!!!!! The Torries are scewing you. They are scewing ALL OF US!!!! I fucking said this shit in 2010!!!!!

Goodness wasn't it not bloody obvious???? Did they not study world war 2? Did they learn NOTHING about proganda, mass-manipulation. Hitler did it with the Jews n unemployment in late 20s / early 30 for goodness sake n became chancellor in 1933.

Has no one learnt ANYTHING from the fkn Nazis? Tories are the next best thing.

I hate them and I despise ANYONE who voted for them. Utter scum......

Wake me up in 2020 when people have woke up n learnt to stop being manipulated n brainwashed :(

What? That's obscene. Wonder which way the chinless old cunt voted?
However, for once I agree with the Lords. Stitch that Cameron and Osborne, and stop throwing your dummies out the pram just 'cos you lost...

the lords should be abolished and replaced with an elected second chamber, and none of obscene pay perks. On this occasion they have done a good job though.

they were elected on such a mandate

No they weren't.

Michael Gove on the world at one, 29/4/2015 We will not cut tax credits

The Tories directly claimed 12 Billion of cuts. No argument there (or for the idiots who voted for it). But they never explicitly named tax credits as a source of cuts and, as can be seen, Gove directly denied it.

Source - The Communist Daily Telegraph. Wish that paper would fuck off to Cuba where it belongs.
