some excerpts:

The signal travels as far as a patch stuck to your skin near the navel, which verifies the signal, then transmits it wirelessly to your smartphone, which passes it along to your doctor. There's now a verifiable record that the pill reached your stomach.

Self-tracking or surveillance?

But not everyone's convinced that the ability to track pills will be good news for patients. The right to refuse treatment is an important, fragile principle in health care. Many are worried that tracking whether a pill is being consumed will be the first step towards punishing patients that don't comply. While doctors can’t force a patient to take a pill, court orders frequently mandate treatments involving specific drug regimens.

The upcoming FDA approval will focus largely on safety and efficacy, leaving the larger ethical challenges to be solved after the drug is released to doctors and patients at large.

Being forced to take medication is already a reality for people who receive monthly injections of drugs like risperdal so I don't really see that aspect changing much in society as a result of this.

Wow this is unbelievable!!! Of course patients are gonna get punished if they don't take their meds correctly, it happens everyday without this new "system". Guaranteed pain patients will be some of the first to have to deal with this bullshit. It's a free country, yeah fuckin right! This is unreal, I can't believe their actually gonna do this, now we gotta find a way to beat this too, wtf!!!
Edit: can they force a patient to purchase a smartphone? That's a pretty big expense. Are they gonna be giving smartphones out with a script? Is that what gazelle and other companies are buying up all the old smartphones for? It makes my paranoid mind wonder. It's a brave new world...

Pain patients already often have to take regular UAs to make sure the drugs they're prescribed are in their system, and I don't really see how this "improves" on that really, so again I don't really think it changes much. But a society that willingly allows the surveillance state inside their own bodies deserves whatever it gets as far as I'm concerned.

Well that's true about the u/a's but that's easily defeated. Save a pill/patch or whatever for the night before a u/a and your all set. This is some crazy shit to think about deeply. If they have the technology then they're gonna use it, history tells us that. I agree that we deserve whatever we get if this becomes reality, it's a scary thought. $100 co-pay for missed dose? Lmfao!!! Seems about right, it's all for them toake more money, all about the money. Money, money, money, money, that's all our society really gives a fuck about anymore.
I'm not really concerned about this happening because I'm a pain patient, I'm worried because I have mental illnesses. U couldn't pay me to take these shit meds that are on the market now. I know many, many others who feel the same way about this poisen being prescribed to people nowadays. The shit is waaaaay over prescribed and does more harm than good IMO/ime...

This is not about health or disease prevention, for the most part.
It's about controlling people, pure and simple.

Control and Money.

It is extremely scary. I have mental health issues and the only way I found out the a particular drug regimen was not working was that I stopped taking my meds against medical advice. If I was forced to take those meds and punished for not taking them, I would be in even worse shape than I am now.

^This is why the so called Mental Health Courts" in CA (and probably elsewhere in the US) horrify me: the intention was to take into account a person's documented mental health diagnosis as a part of the reason they were constantly ending up in jail--in other words, the intent was to try to have some compassion and put the emphasis on the mental health issues rather than the criminal issues. Instead, it has turned into judges, with absolutely no training or education about heavy psychotropic medications, forcing people to take these drugs which are often prescribed by low-income clinic doctors with an equal paucity of training. Same miserable failure with many of the "Drug Courts" (not all) but that's another topic.

Its all about mapping human behavier to understand what it will take to control/manipulate the populations into submission for there evil and fucked up twisted control/power egos to get off on... Are diamonds rare? Are all kids brainwashed ? No diamonds are definatley not rare just monoplized and yeah most kids brains are brainwashed to a degree.. Myself included... Minecraft is prime example whats the meaning of it? To treain brins of the future to be able co ordinate blocks efficently with a control?
