All seems a bit wacky really (what was that about corbyn? ;)) - look forward to the links - straightforward economic inequality, neoimperialism and the occasional military decimation of a country or six seems to be doing the job well enough for the elite currently - why bother with the insane risky stuff? I can believe some in the elite might want to do it, just not that their boffins would let them (btw how would you characterise this elite politically cos i'm pretty certain they're mostly on the right wing (i only ask because some who believe thos sorts of things say stuff about a global socialist takeover and the like - if so, where the fuck is it? (and where do i sign up?)

(and if what you're saying there is that man made climate change isn't real, maybe you can chuck me some links to help persuade me of that too (good luck ;))

whats risky, ostensibly smart people such as yourself fall over yourselves to scoff at the concept while simultaneously

demanding immediate extreme action against an at best poorly understood/researched alleged climate issue. minimal risk

Well i'm open to evidence on both counts but ockham is currently making me lean away from the wacky in the case of chemtrails - (extraordinary claims and all that); we'll see if lean back after your links (EDIT: after i quickly do a google). And do we need to go there with climate change (i can if you want) - maybe we've derailed si's thread enough - hows about a climate change denier thread?
 
Just had a quick squizz of the first link about that swedish lawsuit and seems interesting on first look (though only hearing from one side) - i'll have a wider look in a bit, but this response in the comments made me chuckle:

I have it on good authority that some 99% of the visible portion of these chem-trails is di-hydrogen monoxide, a commonly used cleaning fluid that is now found in large quantities in both our fresh-water lakes and oceans. It is astonishing how much of it the average human ingests in a day. There is lots of good information about it online.

EDIT: well there's not really much of substance there tbh - is the evidence that the swedish government didn't want to answer even at the cost of that cash so therefore what they're hiding is a global chemtrail program? (rather than whatever dirty spraying activity they're doing on a smaller scale that they don't want getting publicised - as i said i can belive they're spraying stuff, just not the 'all planes with contrails are in on it' thing)).

And has the case gone through or has it just been 'claimed'? The fact that the only places carrying the story seem to be a webring of chemtrail sites (including the original page the claim came from) doesn't look good either (obviously the elite control the main media (man), but they can't control us plucky internet nerds eh?). Seems a bit like that 'trial against the pope' wesbite from a while back. (i haven't looked in depth though, so give me some more convincing details or something else that points to the global chemtrail program)

(and as for man-made climate change, just give me some scientists who argue it's not happening that aren't funded by oil companies and that actually make sense (and saying all science is in on it isn't good enough i'm afraid - i know scientists and give or take a john nash or two, they wouldn't be very good at global conspiracy)

Can you find me a source that isn't that swedish website that did the original petition? Again, is the evidence that the government didn't answer, so therefore, there's global chemtrails? Bit smoke and mirrors really (ockham's calling) - Edit: didn't find the swedish poitician quote - i'll have another dig (i didn't dig deepbut ther were only about 5 hits in startpage, all chemtrails sites))

edit: no still can't find a swedish poilitician saying anything like that (even in the chemtrails sites), just the repeated (unverified) fact that the government didn't answer, so therefore, global chemtrails. I just had another look at a few chemtrails sites (sorry, geoengineering) and while there was mention of the odd doctor or scientist saying stuff (like 'nanoparticles could cause alzheimers or autism' (ie stuff that doesn't mean much)) - i couldn't see anything in the way of scientific papers (wherever published) - any idea where i might find them? (i didn't look hard)

EDIT: and another thing...what's the point of it again? If it's not to kill people directly but just give them alzheimers and autism, won't it end up costing the elite more looking after them? (if they're just going to kill them off anyway, why not do it sooner?)

Patrick Smith, a pilot, also dismisses the theory in his book about air travel, Cockpit Confidential. “Contrails are formed when humid jet exhaust condenses into ice crystals in the cold, dry, upper-level air it’s not unlike the fog that results when you exhale on a cold day,” he says. “Contrails are clouds, you could say. Water vapor, strange as it might sound, is a byproduct of the combustion within jet engines, which is where the humidity comes from. Whether a contrail forms is contingent on altitude and the ambient atmospheric makeup - mainly temperature and something known as vapour pressure.”

A report by the Federal Aviation Administration, the US national aviation authority, said that “aircraft engines emit water vapour, carbon dioxide, small amounts of nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, sulfur gases, and soot and metal particles, formed by the high-temperature combustion of jet fuel, during flight. Of these emittants, only water vapour is necessary for contrail formation.

“If the humidity is high (greater than that needed for ice condensation to occur), the contrail will be persistent. Newly formed ice particles will continue to grow in size by taking water from the surrounding atmosphere. The resulting line-shaped contrail extends for large distances behind an aircraft. Persistent contrails can last for hours while growing to several kilometers in width and 200 to 400 meters in height. Contrails spread because of air turbulence created by the passage of aircraft, differences in wind speed along the flight track, and possibly through effects of solar heating.

It concluded that “persistent contrails pose no direct threat to public health” but added: “Contrail cloudiness might contribute to human-induced climate change.”

I shouldn't complain that my thread has bloated whilst I was away but come on guys, Chemtrails? You're having a laugh right? You have not grasped the size of this cover-up, the OBVIOUSNESS of this cover-up if you can talk about Chemtrails in the same breath!

Uttley has spent nearly 20 years trying to find out WHY the PUBLIC Enquiry into Dunblane has been hidden from the PUBLIC for 100 years. She's trying to find out WHO gagged it, no-one will admit to gagging the enquiry, they just pass investigators from pillar to post & back to pillar again. We are trying to get underground, investigative media organisations such as Exaro to get this fucking story, hold it & run with it! I am trying to get someone at Anonymous to hack the Enquiry &/or publicise the story on their site!

Go & join the Dunblane Uncovered group, then come back here & talk all you like about bloody chemtrails. But please show support for someone who can put even the most tenacious of us to shame! It's very quiet in there, it's only been up a month or so. Her old proper website was infiltrated & destroyed by hackers. She has spent time inside on trumped up harassment charges! listen, ive been studying this for almost ten years now. persistnt contrails are a rare atmospheric phenomena related to

usually very finite & shortlived 'corridors' of 'perfect' humidity to facilitate contrails not immediately disappearing

such conditions - regardless of what the pilot says - do not cover the fucking sky horizon to horizon, do not disperse

the "water vapour" into an everexpanding ad infinitum smog-esque haze that visibly diminishes the sunlight, does not

facilitate the "contrail" being turned off, then restarted (yes, theres plenty of film - some by pilots themselves) and

finally, do not eminate from public airliners just happening to be flying in big fucking X or # formations for the lols

now as has been said, are you going to believe what you are told - or the evidence before your own damn eyes. newsnight

I've actually seen this where I live. I couldn't rightly say what it actually was but certainly very unusual. There's a lot of military flights around here but have never seen anything quite like that before or since. Six giant expanding X's - two rows of three very neatly arranged back to back - that I partially saw being made. The eyebrow-raising aspect was the very definite and deliberate structure - whatever it was it was intentional cos the plane stopped leaving any trail once it 'drew' each complete line then came back at the angle required to form the X and started leaving a trail again. Took a few hours over the course of the afternoon/early evening to completely form then spread out until it got too dark to see. Was wee-urd cos it's not the kinda thing you see every day. Couldn't say anything more about it - cos I wouldn't know - but was definitely a deliberately-produced formation of some kind.

Surely any attempts at increasing the albedo effect is desirable, due to the rapidly decreasing polar ice caps?

Anyway, a little aluminium chaff in the atmosphere is nowt to worry about - at least the subsequent fall-out will provide us all with tinfoil hats with which we can ensure immunity from other equally nutty conspiracy theories... ;)

If chemtrails were real, then there would be people behind it. Aren't those same people sharing the same atmosphere as us proles?? That'd be a really elaborate and expensive form of self harming..
