fantasy football 2015/2016 v. not the bl league

you just don't get it

it's comparable to powerball simply for the extremly slim chances of winning big money/it's bait for impulsive assholes

astros GM is a great example of a fantasy nerd from penn U turned genius big league general manger

and it's okay ali i also recieved a D rating. i always do because i always draft young, i feel like key to winning the league is discovering new talent

plus i have a list of people i refuse to draft simply because i can't root for them

How is playing a head to head matchup or playing in a 50/50 league where the top half gets paid a slim chance? 50% chance of winning doesn't seem slim.

Speaking of chance, that's exactly what powerball is, and what dfs is not. You're not just picking random numbers. You have the same chance of winning powerball if you pick #7 rather than #34. You do not have the same chance of winning if you pick Brian Hoyer instead of Aaron Rodgers.

@phr- The day daily fantasy sports becomes illegal is the day season long fantasy sports becomes illegal as well. These companies are here to stay, and will only see steady growth for years to come.

alright, decision time. latavius murray or danny woodhead. leaning woodhead because of murray's matchup and the ppr bonus. but the bengals showed some run defense last week too...

The odds are stacked due to other people having more information and submitting more entries. By more information, I mean the players that win the majority of the money use custom computer modeling software to get their lineups. And in head to head, they look at how new the other person's account is, to pick on new players. As for the more entries, after they get their lineup, they'll submit it a ton of times, so if it's good they'll all be in the money.

I think they can allow regular fantasy and regulate daily. Our gov't is pretty good at regulating stuff. They did it to online poker. Politicians are already bringing it up, but I didn't look into it.

My advice is start out doing 50/50, in the beginner games, and go from there. Still, treat the outcome, whatever it is, as entertainment.

Should I start the Bill's defense?

tough call. buffalo won a good game last week but the d scored 'only' 9 points. seattle lost in st. louis but their d scored 19 fantasy points.

gm will disagree, but, while the bills have a solid defense, i would think twice about starting any defense against new england. what other options do you have?

occasionally. i'll normally set a lineup each week for $3 - $10...

i've played golf and nfl (last week) and so far i usually at least get my money back or win a couple of bucks.

How much money do you make do you think?
Im trying to strategy some things and im trying to get a feel if i dedicate my time if i can consistently make between 1-2g a month

Im able to do this in normal gambling but it takes a pretty extensive bank roll which i dont have right now, this style of betting is more friendly to the wallet

Im a member of a sports group on facebook where we debate sports and stuff like that
Theres a big group of gamblers there and since football has started up theyre constantly talking about daily draft and stuff and a lot of them claim to be making pretty decent money

I had asked if it was possible to make a few G like i had asked her, nothing crazy just 1-2 like i said and 1 guy responded saying he did it in basketball starting with a pretty small bank roll

Detroit, who will be playing Minnesota.
Well i have the time
My concern is i read an article said most of these websites are filled up with people using algorithms and playing hundreds of cards a day
This guy. We've been discussing all of this on the last couple of pages.

All the algorithms and putting in hundreds of entries doesn't apply to single entry tournaments, 50/50, or head to head.

You guys do realize they offer tournaments where you're only allowed to submit a single entry, right?

And Mike NBA dfs 50/50's are where the money is at. You have a huuuuge advantage if you understand player matchups it's ridiculous.

that's probably a big part of it.
tough call. why are those your only 2 choices? between bills and lions, i would start lions but gm will tell you i'm crazy :)

The other defenses on waiver aren't projected to do very well.

I don't think GM has said anything about their fantasy value this week.

Having the better lineup has an advantage in every single scenario. If I were to do it, besides the multi entry tournaments, I'd get a computed line up and enter EVERYTHING. 50/50, head to head, single entry, etc. All you're doing is playing the odds, that are in your favor. Why would you not employ that strategy?

No i dont really understand how it works that why ive been trying to figure it out and ive been asking around
THe dude who told me he made the few G a month told me he was doing 50/50 on basketball, but im pretty good in most sports and im also a huge fan of hockey

Nah I'd definitely start the Lions D over the Bills D this week. If your league scores how my other league does, you get points for sacks, INTS, fumbles, and keeping the opposing offense's points off the board. I think Brady is going to throw a pick or two but he gets the ball out way too fast for them to rack up sacks. Bellichick's entire gameplan is going to be to super fast short passes, slants, and rub routes. He knows that Oline is going to be like swiss cheese against the Bills' Dline.

The Patriots are always going to put points on the board too, no matter how good your defense is. I actually don't think Brady has been held to 0 points in his entire 16 year NFL career. That combined with the Patriots' super low fumble rates all make for a bad fantasy outing for a defense. Lions D is going against a young and inexperienced QB that may end up making some mistakes the D can turn into points for you.
