subutex cotton fever.how did it happen.

So i iv about 1mg a day of sub.i know its bad but i thinkits just because i like using needles cause i dint realy get high justt minor enrgy boost for a few ninutes.

Any way i starteed using the small subutex with the arrow which is hard to just get one mg from those ther so tiny.so what i did is i dissolved a whole 8mg pill in 8ml of water that was i can just sauirt out 1 ml for my 1mg.i made the solutionlast night and about 12hours later i have cotton fever ,extrrnly cold and back hurts.i was dumb and didbt fikter it when i did the 1mg today but when i made the solution i used a bbig cotton so it was filtered in some sort of way.what im thinking is the soljtion staying in that 10ml oral syringe bad?
Help is apprecoated.
 
IVing pills in general, without a micron filter, is a terrible idea, although of course all of us who are into that sort of thing have done it more than once or twice. Cotton fever is a risk that's involved. "Cotton" fever is a bit of a misnomer, it's a reaction to contaminates in the solution, which can include random shit that was in the pills but also bacteria from what I would assume is your less than sterile technique when prepping your shot. So, really, get yourself some proper filters, or I'm sorry to say if this is overly harsh, accept the risks involved.
 
So the whole solution is a waste ya think?even if next tine i filter it couple times afer sauirtkng 1ml from the solution into a spoon

Yeah, if you got cotton fever from it once, I'd trash the whole thing. Invest in some wheel filters and you can probably make a reasonably safe solution for injection next time.
 
eat the rest you won't get sick,cotton fever is the result of a byproduct of the cotton getting into your bloodstream and you antibodies fight off the intruder and as a result you get a rapid high grade fever. Actually my bad you said subutex ,you need to take it sublinguially maybe soak solution in big piece of cotton and pace under your tongue.

^probably, of course with diminished BA vs parenteral route but yes, cotton fever isn't really a risk per that route

Hey is ther nyway u know anything about alprazolam powxer?
I started a thred and some of my answers have been answered but my lastond hasnt its do with will the alp powder disolve evenly in the solution.
If u know anything bout this topic please check it out ,its in the same part of the forum as the subutex one.

it's actually microbes and their waste products that live on the cotton. not cotton fibres as you might expect.

Absolutely correct. Also, your pharmacist doesn't always wear gloves when handling your medication to fill your script. There are so many places that bacteria can be introduced into a shot.

Use alcohol swabs and if possible go to a needle exchange. They will have everything you need there to make a safe shot.

Good luck, and always beware shooting subutex pills. I ended up with a Phlebitis from shooting subutex in the same way you are...ie from premade solution.
 
I've never heard if IV subs. What is the effect compared to? I currently nose about 2-4 mg a day basically to remain normal and not lapse back to the real opiates. I don't get a high from the subs which is fine. I have a steady connect which has kept me from really kicking it altogether. The withdrawal from subutex is severe. I can't take the spasms in my legs and arms. No energy. It doesny seem as severe as an oxy detox but it's still basically unbearable. I'm not a IV person but curious what the feeling is like.

Curiosity killed the cat! Only thing a needle will bring you is misery and it will multiply your habit exponentially because you get just as hooked to the needle as the dope.
