Perth family return from Bali holiday to find a BALLOON filled with drugs in their suitcase

A family from Perth, Western Australia, were shocked to discover of a balloon filled with drugs in their baggage after returning from their Bali holiday.
According to a report by Perth Now, a 6PR listener who went by the name Rob, called the talk show to tell about the shocking discovery of a balloon filled with a white substance in his wife's toiletries bag after a two week holiday in Bali.
'After we got through all the checkpoints and arrived home, we found a balloon filled with white powder that was in our luggage,' he said.

The family were lucky to make it out of Indonesia, 'we could still be in Bali on trafficable offences' the man said.
Rob immediately called the Western Australia police who collected the substance and ran it for tests.
'The only thing I could get confirmation of was that it was drugs,' he said.
'We were there for just a nice holiday.'
He said experience taught them to be aware and to check everything.

Either someone in that familiy is a smuggler, or someone working in baggage claim at the airport planted the drugs.

Of course. In cases like this there should always be someone appointed on the other side expecting the luggage so they could get whatever they have planted originally.

Yup, and the craziest part is they would be held liable had they not gotten into australian territory safely. If someone in their family, then they may have been able to find it if they searched their bags right before they handed them to the baggage handlers. If it was handlers though, I don't think there is anything they could have done to find it.

Fuck I won't be traveling overseas if this shit keeps happening. It's one thing to have stuff found on you coming into Australia, but when leaving a foreign country, well, you're as good as dead if they find something like that.
