Sammy - You know what it was like back then: More arguing and less modding.

And Felix - Please don't extend the date if I am still unsure by that point because, if I am unsure, then I would hate to draw out the process of picking the right person who is right for the stick ;)

At one time, maybe; and highly regrettable it was, but I seem to recall it was nipped in the bud some seven months prior to your resignation, with chinup being spirited away to P&S. So I'm a bit baffled as to why you'd offer it as the primary reason. Seems a little disingenuous, especially as you then embarked upon an ill-starred romantic affair with one of the offending parties (not me!).

Nevertheless, good luck with your application.

Sadie, it was bad form for monsta to mention it in the first place, especially in support of his app, and with little regard for facts or chronology into the bargain. Certainly not becoming of a former staff member. Isn't he the one who brought up harsh memories to begin with? It was a bad time for me, y'know? Not to mention the other staff affected by it.

I'm just setting the record straight, which I have a right to do. So if you're finished being priggish and self-righteous, can we please leave it there?
 
Actually no, I was privy to certain information but until you blatantly pointed it out, that was private! YOU made and issue of it! Make no mistake there, twas YOU!
 
You were privy to what information exactly? I don't see how it could have any relevance to the posts I've made, but do enlighten us if you so desire. Staff passing on information, perhaps?

I don't really understand the remainder of your post, so I don't feel able to address it, but it's clear from posts #60 and #62 that you have some personal issue with me, so I expect it's more ill-informed animosity, for which I have neither the time nor the inclination.

EDIT: This began as a polite rebuttal of an inaccurate statement. It has now become a circus. This is not how a forum should be.

Was there any need for monsta to (falsely) attribute his leaving staff to others, whom he derisively labeled as "mods"? Is that not personal enough for you?

Would you wish to have the opportunity to set the record straight if you were in the same position? I've no doubt you would, and that's all I was doing.

Ehhh... I'm not on staff any more mate, it's not up to me. :)

I was just suggesting that the closing date could be brought forward, i.e. sooner, if there were enough good apps and if there's a hurry. That's all.
 
Another round of mod recruitment I see... well best of luck to those who are applying & as for the mods, I hope you get some good applications to choose from. I'll be interested to see who gets the position when the time comes.

Tis not for me to do so. Also, I feel you should not speak of things publicly. You chose to speak of such things, Monsta did not. Was you that brought it up. You wen't down this avenue. No one else!

Patently untrue, as this clash was resolved months before his resignation, hence my correction. If that isn't him 'speaking of it first', then I don't know what is. The fact he was romantically involved with one of the participants merely makes it all the more bizarre for him to offer it as the sole reason for his departure.

I give up. I really do. You seem to be determined to further derail this thread with utter partisan nonsense.

Please let me know (by PM) which information you're privy to, okay?

I want it public i'm enjoying this.

It seems Sadie is upset by the way you addressed Monstanoodle, yet Sammy thinks he's justified in that Monstanoodles comment was unneccessary and needed to be addressed.

I think Sammy is right to take him up on it, but his approach is wrong. He comes across as bickering with Monsta rather than concisely addressing his post. Just my take anyway

Okay, let's make it simple - chinup was demodded and banished to P&S in December 2011. You stepped down from EADD in June 2012.

Obviously I must be missing something, or perhaps it's your timetable which requires adjusting, 'mate'. :)
