A MAN is taking a popular fast food chain to court after his drink was allegedly spiked with meth.

Fred Maldonado reportedly ordered a burger and milkshake at the In-N-Out Burger drive-through in Downey, Los Angeles in March last year and felt sick after drinking some of the shake.

According to his lawsuit filed in a Los Angeles court this week, Maldonado found two blue capsules and a napkin at the bottom of the cup the next morning. He took it back to the eatery, where a manager apologised and offered him a free burger.
But toxicology testing five months later revealed the capsules contained the illicit drug methamphetamine.

“Plaintiff did not initially know what the two capsules were, but later testing revealed that they were methamphetamine and that it appeared that they may have been illicitly manufactured,” the lawsuit states.

Maldonado claims he suffered nausea and severe mental distress over the incident. He is accusing the West Coast fast food chain of negligence and strict liability and seeking unspecified damages.

In-N-Out has denied the charges and says it will address the matter in court.

“At In-N-Out Burger, we have always served the freshest, highest quality burgers, fries, and drinks and customer safety is one of our highest priorities,” executive vice president Arnie Wensinger told City News Service.

“We will vigorously defend these baseless claims.”

Funny when people complain about a free buzz. What a pussy.

Don't be absurd, "Buzz" is a completely subjective term. What if he ended up consuming a 1/2g or some other stupid amount? What if he has a preexisting condition which makes him vulnerable to stimulants? Even if it was a normal dose and he tolerates stimulants well, meth lasts a long time and some people don't enjoy being awake for days on end. There's no excuse for drugging someone via their food and calling someone a pussy for getting pissed off about it is pretty stupid and immature.

Maturity isn't my strong suit. Relax. I don't condone people drugging others without their knowledge. I do find the situation humorous though. I'm allowed to think it's funny. He probably had the most productive day of his life and/or the greatest jerk off session of his life. Win/win in my book.

Did he accidentally say the drive-through-dealer code word, or was the next guy in line super pissed when his shake didn't have the meth he ordered?

or did he put these capsules in the cup himself to get lots of cash off the burger chain?
